It seems like the trees speak to one another using the wind and their leaves to communicate.... that's my impression when I go to the river camp and do some spirituals.

No, but I've never been offered or been around it...

Have talked to a friend of mine about doing a trip to South America sometime in the future and giving it a go down there just to see what the fuss is all about.

You?

i was duped one time. My roommate put some shrooms on my left over pizza in the fridge. Good thing I didn't have class that day.

i was supposed to study that day but yeah, that all went out of the window. Thankfully I didn't either.

i remember people were at our house watching Happy Gilmore at some point.

gold jacket...green jacket... who gives a shite?

that was my line and I made everybody sorry that I was pranked.

I haven't, but I have a good friend that did it and said he basically saw his path in life, according to him, and what he should do and focus on.

He was kinda shy, and is now the front man of a band. They are actually a very good band too. He seems much more confident and easy going since then.

Everyone I know that has taken it basically all have one thing in common; that they saw some sort of troll type of thing that spoke to them. The weirdest part about it was him telling me he knew a major event would happen in his family (like a death), and then a month later one his cousins (3 year old) ran off during a family party and fell into the pool and drowned. That's eerie to think about.

I'd like to try it, though. Just to see.

Damnit, that's really heavy about the kid. I've heard about the troll that speaks, and I've reasoned that it's our conscience/consciousness taking form and bringing about the correct path... which already exists inside us, therefore we show ourselves the true nature of ourselves (being "one")

I asked a wise someone once how it came to be many, many years ago that the original inhabitants of the jungles and land knew to tap into certain plants to unlock their mystical abilities...his answer: the plants spoke to them.

That answer works for me, but I'm an outside kind of person from rural north La who grew up spending all day every day with nature, so maybe someone from Beverly Hills might scoff at the notion.

DMT has a common theme of shadow people/guides who speak to people. it's freaky to listen to random people talk about them

not to get too "rabbit hole" but it does make sense that if these substances allow a person to reach an enlightened state of being, that the powers that be would really want to ensure the masses couldn't reach such levels

Have you heard of The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross?

An MLB pitcher named Dock Ellis once threw a no-hitter on lsd.

We can't even begin to fathom how much the arts have been improved by psychedelic drugs.

I feel bad for the guy but I have a feeling "legal" shite is the culprit for at least one of those sad stories

For sure. And let's be real, drugs aren't for everyone. Some people get the initial nervous rush from shrooms (which precedes the relaxation) and FREAK THE frick OUT. You can always tell who had too much too fast.

Probably research chemicals like 2cb sold as LSD.

That's a rather unfair comparison, but maybe Kary Mullis.

They really are what you make them- if you're not in a good spot psychologically you won't have a good time, if you're mental condition is healthy a veil can be drawn back from over your mind which might broaden your receptivity to ideas, realizations, and emotions which can literally be invaluable.
