Calmly filming someone dying right in front of you and narrating it as though you're reading the news is completely out of the ordinary. She's perfectly calm then but now she's inconsolable. Sorry, I don't buy it.
Did you watch the entire video? She devolves throughout the entire thing as things start to sink in.

I did.
It's still a completely bizarre reaction.

Reynolds and her daughter spent the night in jail, she said.
“They didn’t feed us, they didn’t give us water, they took everything from me,” she said. “They put me in a room and separated me from my child. They treated me like a prisoner.”
If true, there will be a record of her stay in jail.
Also if true, I'd be interested as to why she spent the night in jail. Was she arrested? If so, what for?

Why did they put themselves in a situation where a cop could frick with them?
This is some epic victim-blaming.
In the thread last night someone sarcastically said she's at fault for having a busted tail light, but this is the same shite only you're serious. Wow.

Victim tells the cop he is permitted to carry (he didn't have to disclose that).

No, although I've been around plenty of guns, I don't recall a situation where someone was acting foolish with a gun around me.
I think the average person knows a life threatening situation when they see it. Law enforcement, out of fear for their own safety, sees what could become a life threatening situation much further out than most. The problem is that they face little to no repercussions from situations that COULD have been life threatening but weren't there yet.
Yeah, but LEO's are also humans. Maybe his kid was sick last night and he didn't sleep much, he walks up to the car and hears gun and a high guy rapidly moving to the back of his pants like he's grabbing a gun.
If you truly wanted to make traffic stops safe, you have everyone in the vehicle get out of the vehicle before the officers walk up. Beyond that, it is always dangerous and little can be done for officer safety other than having multiple officers there.
I would bet that walking up to a trashy looking vehicle with trashy looking people inside on traffic stop is probably "scarier" than anything most people have ever done. These guys do it all the time for average pay.

Despite no evidence to support your claim you think the person who took a life is the good guy.
but we should take the stoned woman's commentary as 'evidence' so automatically the cop is the bad guy.

Yeah, bizarre is fair, but people do some crazy shite in high stress situations and/or as they grieve. However, to say that she's just out to get her 15 minutes of fame because she didn't respond the way upgrayedd or Pax Regis think they would have is ridiculous.

Read her facebook. She smokes daily. High percentage she had some on board.
Not justifying actions of trigger happy cop.

Ok, kid. Keep your head in the sand.

Or just as likely since there is proof she smokes weed, she devolves as her high wares off. I wouldn't doubt that she lit a joint and when she was high decided it would be a good idea to make another video to cope with what has happened.

FIFY
But, nevertheless, as I noted in my previous posts this cop is still likely going down for manslaughter. He jumped the gun - almost literally.

People do crazy things like think someone is about to shoot them when they move quickly to the back of their pants after saying they have a gun?

I don't have an issue with smoking weed, but are you trying to tell me it doesn't give you a high that makes you think and do stupid stuff? lol

Meh. I don't blame the victim, I blame society. The parents should know that they already are fighting an uphill battle in regards to stereotypes, why give anyone any reason to act on them?

Maybe, but is that the victim's fault?

Then that is what they should do.

I'm pretty tired of the "shite pay" remark about cops. Is it a surprise to those who sign up? Seems pretty well documented, no? If we doubled their salaries would they stop killing people? Roofers are 3x more likely to be killed than a police officer, and they do it for shite pay too.

No. I'm trying to point out how fricking dumb it is to think this whole thing is justifiable because they may/may not have toked a J OR to paint her/him as bad people or parents because they may/may not have toked a J.

Yeah, sure. So she had a different demeanor because of the high-stress situation and the cop killed a man because of the high-stress situation. Complete apples to apples comparison.
