I'm going to make prediction, and all you social justice warriors who think cops go out every day putting on their pants with an intent to kill a black man can hear me now and believe me later.

These two were high as a kite on something. That explains her flat affect after having watched her boyfriend get shot. She was acting strange as hell. It would also explain his ineffective attempt to disclose he has a gun while also stupidly reaching for his wallet - he did something irrational because he was high. And they got pulled over because he was driving erratically - not some busted tail light. And no one had any machine guns - how absurd.

I'll also add that little girl almost certainly spent the night in the company of a social worker while her mother was questioned about the incident - perhaps after she got sober. Maybe at the jail, but not "in jail" as if in prison. That would be totally normal protocol.

Now, does that make it good shoot. Probably not. Officer Quickdraw probably should have been a little more patient and not so jumpy. But that is an easy observation to make in hindsight when you've never been at the window of a car where a guy tells you he has a gun while reaching in his pocket. He will get hit with a manslaughter charge and get his life ruined.

I tended to believe her original video. She definitely lost a lot of credibility after this latest one though

Obvious some people did not watch whole live video. She mentions "machine guns" in that one as well

It also doesn't hurt that the system bails out risky behavior because the threshold for "fear for your life" is so low. I'm not suggest cops are out there trying to decimate civilians, but human nature will give you the necessary bravado to take on risky situations when you can be bailed out by shooting the suspect if it goes wrong.

Serious question, have you ever once been around someone that was acting foolish with a gun?

I've hunted all my life, and I've been around some serious idiots and guys that got drunk at camp and decided to shoot their gun randomly. I once had a guy drunk in college tape a 2 liter coke bottle to his shotgun as a make shift silencer to go shoot the raccoon in the backyard of a neighborhood.

I've been around guns all my life, but someone in the wrong mindset with a gun is scary AF. By the way you are talking, you have not been around guns and idiots with guns at all.

I would challenge you to go hang around some life threatening situations, and then come back and see how you feel.

Your comments are spot on for an idealistic world, but the world is real and life is far from ideal.

At the same time, if I'm carrying a gun and I get pulled over I take my wallet and ID out and put them on the dash. Then I take my gun out and put it in the glove box or back seat. The last thing anyone wants to do is have an up front conversation with someone while they are armed.

I've been pulled over 1 time while carrying and the cop asked where the gun was and I told him in my center console. He just asked me step out of the truck and he patted me down to make sure the gun wasn't on me. We ended up talking about guns for about 15 minutes and he let me go on about my day. nice guy.

I always defend the cops, but this one is the worst I've ever seen.

Victim tells the cop he is permitted to carry (he didn't have to disclose that). Who says "yes I have a gun in my pocket", then tries to shot you??? It's stupid. Especially after you just asked him for his DL.

She showed zero emotion in the initial live stream but now I'm supposed to believe she's emotionally distraught. GTFOH.

She's reveling in the fact he got shot so she can have her 15 mins.

No, although I've been around plenty of guns, I don't recall a situation where someone was acting foolish with a gun around me.

I think the average person knows a life threatening situation when they see it. Law enforcement, out of fear for their own safety, sees what could become a life threatening situation much further out than most. The problem is that they face little to no repercussions from situations that COULD have been life threatening but weren't there yet.

You have no idea of what has happened at this point since there isn't video of the actual event. Baton Rouge is much worse in that you see the guy on the ground and the cop draw a weapon, even though the Sterling was rolling around a bit "resisting".

This video could literally go anywhere at this point. Hell, the guy could have told the cop he had a gun and was about to splatter the pig's face all over the trees behind him and then reached down, we have no idea how anything went down except through the eyes of a passenger. It could have all happened exactly how she said it did, and if it did, I hope they put a bullet in the cop and call it a day. Right now there are no facts out there.

God damn some of the comments in this thread are brutal.

Nothing like a good controversial cop shooting to bring out all the white trash on this board

It's trashy to question the motives of someone who seemed indifferent at the moment that her boyfriend was shot next to her and with her child in the back seat but is now overcome with dramatic grief?

Yeah, she was in such shock that she picked up her phone and live streamed it on facebook. You're fricking retarded.

I believe she's the heartless one. Gaining fame and notoriety on the back of her dead boyfriend.
