Let's see who grew up in my neighborhood in Metry...

Who remembers when the house on Homestead filled up with gas and blew up?

Had sheets, clothes and a mattress in the Magnolia tree in our backyard.

I live about a mile and a half from there, so I've been watching the news on this very intently tonight. They just indicated that the Indianapolis Fire Dept. has called for the coroner. Hopefully, it's just precautionary, but thoughts and prayers for everyone in that neighborhood.

Keep us updated. This could become a very interesting situation if Homeland Security is on the scene...they may know something or knew something was about to happen.

Throw in some tupperware and that's exactly how the Thanksgiving party I threw for all my bartender friends ended a few years ago.

Damn prayers sent to them.

Those pictures are devastating, those houses are completely leveled.

If there was anybody in that place - They were incinerated. Prayers for them (unless they were bomb hobbyists).

Looks like the gas line explosion in Wa. State years ago, in Bellingham.

Called for the coroner?

I retract my earlier smartass comments. Went from funny/ peculiar to possibly tragic. Nothing to laugh about.

The latest they're reporting is that two homes were completely destroyed, one of which was for sale and vacant. At least one person is being treated at the nearest hospital for injuries. Really, though, I have no more information than what's on the news.

Seems to be gas. Initially, there was talk of a plane crash.

Here's a (currently) live video feed of a local channel: LINK

That channel just reported 1 fatality, unfortunately.

Sounds like some sketchy shite. Homeland security came in and is making sure everyone believes it is gas.

You're going to be a far better news source on this story than any website at this point. Didn't realize it was two whole houses. That's pretty scary.

And now I digress - Whenever I wondering what's going on around the country (world, for that matter) - I come here before any other site. It's crazy how much coverage of events with actual information turn up here.

ETA:

Thanks for the link.
