Generally, we’re over supplemented, even our pets. There’s a whole market for pet vitamins that vets roll their eyes at.

D is the most common thing that maybe the majority of people need.. unless you spend a lot of time outside.

depends on what you are low in. but if you want free test levels up, better morning wood, stronger erections...boron at 12-15mg works. Most adult males should be taking this.

every human on earth should be taking creatine and every adult should take Nattokinase

most adults are low on vitamin D and K and should supplement. couple others most should be taking.

as far as basic multi, its cheap and covers you mainly peeing much of it out.

none of it matters though without diet and exercise.

do a blood test and see where you are deficient.

How is the taste? I know I don’t eat nearly enough veggies so I probably need something like this but it looks very hard to choke down.

About what?

All I know is if my test level is 300 as a 30 year old male and I go to a regular physician, they won’t put me on TRT.

If I go to a wellness clinic they will put me on TRT and try to get my levels between 1200-1500

These places are great for managing hormones because your average primary care physician even some urologists have no idea what they are doing. I know this because I see prescriptions for 50-60 year old men 200mg or 100mg injected every 2 weeks

A pharmacist told me years ago that just a One a Day Multi vitamin was enough if you feel the need to take it. Mega doses are a waste.

I don't see that you posted a long response anywhere in this thread. In your previous 2 posts, you said:
- studies don't support it [taking Vitamin D], with another sentence about women.
- cheap multivitamins are a waste
- then you got shrill and yelled THIS IS bullshite about someone else's claim.

You haven't provided anything of substance to this conversatiion and provided 0 proof. Why should anyone just believe you?

At least when I made a claim about soil depletion making vegetables less nutritious, I made it a point to link a couple of articles that refer to valid studies. If you want to start fact checking the links and find flaws, be my guest. I'm open minded if you have anything important to add.

As to your claim that you don't know of any peer reviewed studies saying vitamin D supplementation isn't beneficial *if you're deficient*, let's go right to a supposedly preeminent expert, Dr. Fauci:

quote:

If you are deficient in vitamin D, that does have an impact on your susceptibility to infection. So I would not mind recommending, and I do it myself taking vitamin D supplements,” Fauci, 79, said during an Instagram Live on Thursday, when actress Jennifer Garner asked Fauci about immune-boosting supplements.

CNBC - Fauci takes & recommends vitamin D

If you don't believe CNBC, here are alternate sources reporting the same quote:
A congressman's dot gov site
Health dot com article

You may question me, but if you're the sort that needs an expert to tell you what to think, do you dare question Dr. Fauci on the validity of supplementing vitamin D if you're deficient? btw, many people are deficient-- especially in the winter.

Rhonda Patrick’s website covers the medical literature on supplementation if anyone’s interested. It’s inaccurate to claim that medical literature doesn’t support the use of supplements for people. The questions are which ones, how much, and for whom.

there are actually some new studies on vit d. better to ultra mega dose, like 30-60k IU once every 7-10 days.

It's not advisable to consume synthetic vitamins as they can be harmful to your health. It's better to obtain your vitamins and minerals from natural sources. Your body may struggle to process synthetic versions effectively. Opt for pure sources like sea moss, moringa plants, fruits, and vegetables for minerals, while electrolytes can be sourced from coconut water, watermelon, and high-juice fruits.

Here’s my rule of thumb: Anything you see at GNC for 2+ straight years is probably legit. Anything brand new at GNC has a better-than-even chance of not still being on the shelf in a year. I know, as GNC is a customer of mine.

Done with sarcasm as I knew citing him would shut some brains down for a moment while they thought how to reply.

I've long appreciated Rhonda Patrick's work since some of her early appearances on Rogan. She always presents her case well. I haven't followed her too closely recently, but second your recommendation to check out her work about supplementing & health.
