Maybe If people weren't so apt to use 2-day all willy nilly then Amazon wouldn't need to raise prices.
Makes absolutely no sense.

I always go 2 day. However maybe your lack of 2 day shipping kept the fee from going up to $120 so thank you. In the meantime I will continue going 2 day.

I will de-select 2-day shipping and select ground if its an item I'm in no hurry to get. Just feel sorta guilty about having Amazon pay the slight extra cost when its totally unnecessary. I suspect this may be considered a "beta" move.

The shipping isn't free. You are paying for it with the yearly membership.

Would you stop shopping at Sam's just b/c you feel bad that you used your card enough to save more than they get from your membership dues as well?

You're already paying for 2 day shipping with the prime subscription. If you're going to use it selectively why not cancel prime and just pay for 2 day shipping when you need it?

This thread made me realize what a gross misuse of Prime is occurring. Its this mentality which is likely the reason they are raising the rate. Its not that fricking hard to get through your heads; if you don't need to product for several weeks then don't stress the infrastructure and just use ground.

Fraid you don't understand how Prime works.
Which is very odd. How large of a rock do you have to live under not to know about Prime?

If it stresses the infrastructure then why doesn't Amazon change the option so that you have to select 2 day shipping instead of having to deselect it to choose ground

You actually get a discount on 1-day shipping with Amazon Prime. I think it'a $3.99 for most items if you have Prime.

Never, but I will spend the extra $4 a good bit of the time, even on small orders.

I do it.

If I don't need it soon why be wasteful. I want amazon to keep the prime membership affordable so I don't want to abuse it.

Prepare yourself.

Being reasonable on here is frowned upon.
