I don't have cable. Netflix (physical disc and instant) and Roku is all the entertainment I need.

Y'all poor if you can't afford 200 bucks to power your 7 TVs around your house. It is not even worth my time to look for free shite online vs hitting 1035 on my remote to watch LSU on TV. $200 bucks a month for all the channels in HD, 3 DVRs, Internet and phone. That is peanuts.

Going to a bar twice a week to watch games has to be more expensive than $100/month plus having to walk/drive/cab there.

I cancelled my cable 6 months ago after realizing I had not watched it for 2 weeks. Everything I watch is available for free on the internet.

I think about this from time to time when people bitch about living from pay check to pay check and being broke. I wonder how many people out there realized that one could survive without having to pay for tv.

I don't pay for tv.

I'm about to be one of these people. I used to pay $20 for (albeit shitty) basic cable from my apartment. Now they are cancelling that service and encouraging us to switch to Charter. I'm basically waiting for it to go out since I didn't get charged this month.

I never watch TV outside of sporting events. I'll start shopping for something else in a month or two or once it gets closer to football season.

We get 4 pbs channels through HD rabbit ears. That's 3 more than the local cable service provides. We get cable for football season and then take the box back. The shows provided on cable are absolute horse shite. I don't understand how people watch these shows with about 1/4-1/3 of the time being commercials.......and you pay for this.

I don't pay for cable TV in my apartment. I can watch anything on the Internet, and I still get a few random channels on the TV somehow anyway. I mostly just have the TV for gaming systems.

Been staying with parents for a few days while my floors get refinished. They have DirectTv with a ton of channels and it's just made me realize I don't miss cable AT ALL (we cut the cord 6 months ago or so)

yeah frick that. if you seriously watch all those channels then you need to do something with your life

I only watch espn and a few shows on hbo, a&e, etc and I rarely watch them live. why pay when its free elsewhere.
