My brother got rejected.

Turns out she was a whore who slept with half the athletic department (including one of her coaches). So, my brother actually dodged a HUGE bullet there.

I know a girl who knew 1 month before the wedding she didn't want to get married but went through with it anyway because the families were so excited she didn't want to disappoint everyone.

She made sure she didn't get pregnant and eventually got a divorce and annullment.

What a bunch of shite to go through and it was all a farce to begin with. I think this type of think is common, but it seems like such a waste. Just tell them upfront, geez.

I know two girls who did. One is happily married now. The other was a LSU cheerleader who, almost 20 years later, is still single and still smoking hot.

Cheerleaders don't strike me as the types to age well. Usually they're kind of short and a bit thick... typically resulting in a rounder body shape not long after giving birth. Also, they often get injured, hampering their future ability to workout.

My wife told me no at first. Not seriously, but I wasn't sure what the hell was going on and started the "flipping my shite" process. We had been shopping to see what rings she liked. So we all knew, she just didn't realize when. I always screwed around with her and pretended like it was going to happen. Like stopping, getting all romantic, then tying my shoe. Well, when I actually asked, she thought the ring was fake, that I was just joking with her, then told me no and to get the hell out of there. I was already nervous and just dropped a ton on a ring. I freaked out. She eventually realized I was serious and said yes . I couldn't imagine having that feeling for the rest of my life. You feel alone, stupid, poor, rejected, etc all at one time.

Been told no 3 times

Was young first time. She said let me think about it and her family talked her out of it

Second time was after college. She wanted to move off and I wanted to stay closer to home. At least story I got.

Last one was a long distance thing. Proposing meant that I wanted her to move out of her area to me. Strike three

One of my exes.

Of course, I was a raging drunk back then and not stable at all.

She made the right choice.

I know one crazy chick who wanted to say no, but said yes because she liked the guys family. She regretted it and instead of just breaking it off, she banged two different exes, told the fiance and was forgiven both times. After the wedding they bought a house, and then she divorced him a few months later and kept the house.

When she meets new people, she tells them she's always been single. A simple "no" would have saved a lot of trouble.
