Or got rejected?

Where did they go from there? Seems like there would be no coming back from that

Don't ask if you don't know the answer.

no...I think everyone pretty much works out the answer before the question is officially posed.

My second wife proposed to me three times before I told her yes. There's a lot to be said for tenacity.

If I was the one that rejected it, what is there to come back from?

Just dodged a bullet, didn't I?

It's gotta be rare. Even if the girl doesn't want to do it, she'd probably say yes anyway, then break it off later

Yeah, usually. But today I saw on facebook that this dude I went to college with got engaged to a girl he's only known for about 2 months. You could tell from her post about it and what her friends were commenting that he probably sprung it on her without discussing it first. Made me wonder how often that happens and how many girls have the heart to tell the poor sap no.

Or maybe he knocked her up

I know a girl that said no. But was more of like an "I don't know.." She said the proposal was super awkward, and they got in a fight after.

Had an up and down relationship with the guy, who was her co-worker. They broke it off for a while and she would always complain about him and how crazy he was. Now she's apparently back with him. So obviously she doesn't know what she wants, and too dumb to realize she had made the right decision earlier on, but I guess you can't help some people. Everyone needs to make their own decisions

I did. A girl in my friend zone from high school called me up years later and said she was getting a divorce and had always loved me. Needless to say, I declined. She wasn't bad looking, but that level of crazy is way more than I can handle.

I know a girl or two that have said yes, but just didn't want to say no. Marriages never happened.

Yes. They had been dating for about 11 years. They lasted about 3 weeks after.

I met a nurse in California.
It was instant carma and other fun stuff. She was complete smoke show. Crazy hot. Like, OT 9 -9.5.
A few nights in, we are walking down a boardwalk and she says, "you know, you're the guy I've been looking for. We should get married. I mean it, let's get married tonight!!!"

Soooo, bunch of red flags. "Calm down woman" but she wouldnt stop talking about it.

I figured she must be pregnant and needed a baby daddy. Until then, it was the best 4 days of my life. Needless to say, my lack of excitement to get married ended our escapades. :(
