LOL. You're fricking insane if you think 170 white guy with 4.0 from Georgia Southern gets you into Stanford or Harvard.

I'd be willing to bet this white guy knows a little more about YHS admissions than you.

That link does nothing to help your argument. But hey, why listen to what people who know about the field tell you when you can regurgitate shite you find online.

I'm the "white dude" in question - my b on drafting ambiguity. That said, you don't need personal experience or even anecdote to see what the numbers clearly communicate: nobody gives a damn about your major or your undergrad. These schools are placating the USNWR, which doesn't give bonus points for Princeton grads.

Law School Numbers tells the story much better if it is necessary. The point is, you're going to get more mileage from a top tier undergrad degree, particularly in STEM, than you are a lower tier degree. This is mostly applicable to white/asian males, and to a slightly lesser extent, females. Obviously if you are UM, it's not going to matter at all.

If you're a white guy who went to one of the schools in question with a 170/4.0 from a lower tier institution, I'd estimate you're probably the exception right now.

I think it is frivolous for law school bound students to fret over a few spots in USNWR when it comes to undergrad destinations, but especially for those with good, but not great LSAT scores (say, 160-168 or so), it certainly comes into play. All of this is skewed by the fact that not many people go to low tier schools, ace them, and then score well on the LSAT. But as a general proposition it is threading the needle to get into even top half T1 schools from mediocre to bad undergrad institutions.

Law school rankings matter when one is trying to get a job in the legal field away from where he went to school. Locally, rankings don't matter at all. It's all about alumni connections and networking. However, once one leaves that geographic sphere of influence for their school, how that school is ranked can affect the perception of how well prepared one is for the job they are interviewing for.

I'd guess the bold, If you know anything about how debt repayment works under the Federal programs.

Black male from New Orleans with a 170 LSAT could probably take a shite on the application and get into Harvard, imo.

Just to be safe tell them you're not sure about your sexual orientation.
