re: DEA announces that marijuana will remain a Schedule 1 drug - like LSD & heroin

I'm sure they all have strains of weed ready to be bought and sold. Since they're already in with the FDA, why couldn't they be the only ones in on the weed game? It is extremely expensive and time consuming getting a med okay'd for public use. Big pharmaceutical companies can circumvent that because they have some sort of special pass. I don't see why they couldn't just flood the market with weed

This post seems to indicate that marijuana is a significant danger to society.
If any more sarcasm dripped off my post, I'd have to grab a mop.

I have a bum knee and some issues with vertigo while sleeping. Marijuana alleviates these issues and I don't even need much, maybe a half a gummy or a few hits off a bowl.
Unfortunately, the government would rather me go down to the VA where they prescribe me Percocet or sometimes Oxycontin. The days when I took my prescription at night I could barely even get out of bed the next day.
Makes sense.

Yep, my dad has chronic pancreatitis, which is debilitating at times. As you can imagine, pills aren't great when your stomach is turning itself inside out. Know what does help give him some relief? Marijuana, but he can't get it legally, so he either breaks the law or suffers.

doesnt matter what they say usually if the state legalizes it then the DEA won't enforce in those states
Correct me if I am wrong on this, but the DEA is a federal agency.....wouldnt their policies trump anything a state puts in place? Regardless of the legality in said state?

FYI the DEA is led by Obama appointees.
LOL. Thanks Obama for outlawing weed in 2008!

Yes, you are right. But they do not enforce it very much in the states that are marijuana lenient.

Appreciate it man but my issues are minuscule compared to most guys. I just have trouble lying down horizontal - makes my knee painfully throb and I get dizzy.
It is criminal what the VA prescribes to veterans. I work with a lot of guys with intense PTSD and the first thing I tell them to do is to toss all of the medication they receive from the VA. Some good clean outdoors stuff, some R&R, hanging out with other vets, fishing, golf - all of these things actually really help.
A friend of mine (2 purple hearts) has a full blown pharmacy in his kitchen. The VA has him on more meds than someone who has cancer.

heroin
LSD
marijuana
ecstasy
meth
peyote
One of these does not belong. Our government is so full of fricking shite. Goddamn those pieces of human waste.
How in the frick is marijuana in that description? It is none of those things. There are TONS of accepted medical uses, it is not dangerous AT ALL, and has absolutely ZERO chemically addictive properties.

No I don't think that. I'm saying the govt isn't retarded for keeping it illegal. It needs to be illegal. Before you use the alcohol argument, I don't drink. Smoke all you want and I hope you get arrested and have it on your public record.

Since 1968 the University of Mississippi has held the only license issued by the DEA to grow marijuana for research, which is funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
If ole miss was a halfway decent research institute they would've found a legitimate medical use. Of course if you leave it up to Mississippi, it's gonna fail. The Feds thoughts in '68- let's restrict research to one public institution, and let's pick one of the worst research universities in the country.

The funny thing about that is Ole Miss has a really scary arrest and rat system going on with it.
