Every other weekend, me and my b/f buy our local fire station groceries. And luck happen the guys happen to be at the store this morning buying a few odds and ends themselves. Anyway, after I gave em all the stuff I got for them, a guy (40 to 50ish) asked me "Why do you waste your money on buying firefighters anything man?" To which I replied "Your kidding right? I always do this." Then before he walked off he commented "Man, whatever dude, them guys don't need anything." I want to know how in the holy f**k someone grows up and becomes this type of person. Talk about feeling sad for that man. Thank God I was raised better.

Reminds me of when I helped lift a car up to save someone's life after a car accident. One guy was like "bro, it's not your job to be superman," and I responded "with great strength comes great responsibility" and just shrugged my shoulders as I walked off into the fading sunset.

Great thing that you do. Keep doing it. The guys that are bashing you and the guy in the store don't get it at all...they don't matter. Keep doing the right thing.

I saw a guy that had run off the road into wet grass. IT was not a ditch or anything but he was spinning because of the moisture.

I pulled over, got my rope, tied a bowline to each vehicle and pulled him back to the road. He said thanks before I left.

The crumbling of our society is so evident in many ways, and this is one of them.

It is the right thing because these guys and girls get paid shite for money and see and do things I bet you have never seen or done. They put their lives on the line for us EVERY dayand run towards danger when wr run for safety. Showing that we appreciate their efforts is the right thing.

You already buy them groceries with your tax dollars. They have a budget for these reasons.
