Marriage is one sided...unless your wife makes a lot of money, and you make a lot of money. And you both buy cool shite and do cool shite. And you sex regularly.

Then it's pretty two-sided.

Her best friend on planet is also OT7, does iron mans, loves football, makes over 100k, owns 3 rental properties, owns a 800k primary, and pound for pound has the worst judgement in men I've ever seen.

I had to be with someone who actually had ambition and life goals, other than popping out a child.

I hear women all the time say stuff like "my dream was always to be a mother."

Oh yeah? That's your dream? To sit around in your pajamas all day and babysit?

Being alone just to avoid one day being alone is fricked up. I wake up next to an amazingly beautiful wife every morning and the thought of losing her pains me, but I'm sure as frick not going to be by myself simply to relieve those thoughts. Having something you cherish means you have something to lose, and as scary as that sounds the alternative is...well you pretty much explain what the alternative is...being secure you have nothing, I mean everything...that doesn't include a woman who loves you.

Marriage is a scam unless both couples contribute equally... If you disagree with me then you've never been through a divorce.

I am one of those dumb asses that married a leech not knowing she was one. She hid it from me our whole 17 year marriage. Now three years after divorce I see what she was doing the whole time. She grew up entitled with two parents that were attorneys and she never had the confidence to achieve and be ambitious in her career. Now I am screwed because I have the worst divorce judge in the state of Mississippi and the state of Mississippi is the worst state in the US for men's rights in divorce. I know everybody's experience is different but I thought I would share mine as another example of the leech problem and the unfair divorce laws in this country. I am currently looking for A great female divorce attorney that can stand up for men's rights to get a modification of divorce. Point is, had I married somebody that comes from money and was ambitious I probably would have been OK. But I was too young and stupid to realize who she was .... Best of luck young people in finding your mate. Please be careful and think with your brain when it comes to partnering up.

Am I bitter? Nope. Life is too short to be stuck in a bad marriage, and she was right, it was a bad marriage. She just had the courage to call it.

Making money is WAY easier than finding love or happiness. But the next time I decide I’ve found the love of my life, a prenup will definitely be involved. ;-)
