I was wearing Acuvue Advanced for Astigmatism and they discontinued that line.
I switched to the Oasys line but they did not agree with my eyes.
Have been wearing Biofinity Toric for about 4-5 years now. Good results. I actually went with a regular Biofinity this last time in my left eye because my astigmatism was borderline not needed. No issues.

They have progressive contacts. I use them frequently. I can read great with them but I can't see far away as well as my glasses.

I have moderate astigmatism in one eye and severe in the other. When I started wearing contacts in high school, I had to use the semi rigid as they were the only ones that could correct astigmatism. Those were a pain in the arse to deal with and could be painful.
When the Biofinity Toric lenses came out they were a godsend as they are so easy to wear compared to the semi rigid.
For me, contacts have always been on par with glasses if not better in terms of vision. I play alot of tennis and I definitely don't see the ball as well with glasses.
PS Best place to buy them are from Costco if you already have a membership.

I have severe in both eyes. Struggled my whole life with soft lenses. Switched to gas perms 3-4 years ago and it was the best decision of my life

Well damn I just bought 8 boxes wonder why I wasn't given progressive lenses as an option?

I wear an XD model of contact for my left eye, it helps. It is also custom order and expensive so there is that. I would make sure that you have a solid eye insurance plan before indulging in them. one XD eye box is around $400.
But if you have some serious astigmatism, then don't expect a massive change.
Biofinity XD is the make, and i've used it for over a decade.

I’m on 4 teams and tennis is a big reason why I can’t wear contacts. My ophthalmologist is also a tennis player and strongly advised against contacts with my astigmatism on the court. Besides the major depth perception issues I had, sweat/sunscreen running into my eyes, contact movement during play and actually losing a contact in the middle of a game made glasses a much better option for me. I wear Rx amber lense Costas during daylight and clear, anti-fog, anti-glare lense glasses are night or indoor.

I have a stigmatism in my right eye that's screwed my vision so badly that a progressive lens for that side makes my glasses look lopsided.
I have contacts (the strongest they make for the right eye) but due to the stigmatism they are for mid-range to distance, I need reading glasses for clarity on anything beyond arm-and-a-half length.

This is what both myself and my wife wear for astigmatism. I’ve been wearing them damn near close to 10 years now without any issues.

I wear Biofinity Toric's for an astigmatism. Have been for years and they are fine.

Astigmatism contacts since 1995.
Never had any issue with them.
One eye is astigmatism and one is not. I cannot tell the difference in contacts or feeling.

Great info here. I’m gonna give them a shot. Will talk to ophthalmologist. My left is fine and my right is the culprit so had to wear two different ones which may be why I was sensitive to the difference between the two.
Thanks all

I just "qualified" to be fitted with a larger lens for an astigmatism in my right eye for the first time. Left eye still has a normal lens.
I honestly can't tell a difference and have no idea what an astigmatism even is. I guess it's the shape of my eye?
Anyhow, everything is fine and I would have never known about it except for this lens being about 20% larger.
