re: Who could beat Mayweather? - Marciano1
None of these are great fighters.
Diego Corrales was a great fighter at 130. He was a complete force at that weight and Floyd sent him to the canvas six times before it was finally stopped. That, imo, was Floyd's finest moment. Two truly dominant fighters in their prime and at t...
At say, 147 pounds. Which of these guys would take Floyd to school? Ray Leonard Tommy Hearns Alexis Arguello Aaron Pryor Roberto Duran
Hearns beats Floyd. That's a nightmare of a matchup for him. Hearns would have a big advantage in height (5") and reach (6"). ...

re: Khan-Mayweather in the works? - Marciano1
Like Pacquiao's self-confidence and lightning fast combinations - the ones he was never able to get off?
Pacquiao hasn't been the confident, combination punching dynamite since 2012. He was super cautious against Rios and Bradley. He was aggressive against Algieri but lets face it,...

re: Bob Arum on the possibility of MMA overtaking boxing as the #1 combat sport - Marciano1
final dagger for boxing, who was already hanging by a thread.
Cotto-Canelo will draw 1.5-1.8 PPV buys in the fall. No Mayweather. No Pacquiao. No big media hype. Can't wait to hear the MMA guys try to come up with another "boxing is dead" explanation....

re: Bob Arum on the possibility of MMA overtaking boxing as the #1 combat sport - Marciano1
You ever notice how when anyone from boxing is questioned regarding MMA in any capacity the response is always negative and belittling?
It's because MMA guys always bash boxing about how it's "dead" yet the PPV numbers consistently show that boxing draws greater numbers than MMA. ...

re: Khan-Mayweather in the works? - Marciano1
Meh I'd rather see him fight Thurman
Thurman gets beat 10-2 easily. He's a fun fighter but sooooo flawed. Leonard Bundu had him running around the ring all night. Yes, running. Robert Guerrero also had him running late in their fight two months ago.
Bradley maybe?[/quot...

re: Khan-Mayweather in the works? - Marciano1
Call me crazy, but I believe Mayweather-Khan will be a fun fight. Styles make fights and Khan's self-confidence combined with his lightning fast combinations will make it interesting. The old Amir Khan would get whooped in under 4 rounds but he's definitely made some adjustments with Virgil Hunt...

re: Bob Arum on the possibility of MMA overtaking boxing as the #1 combat sport - Marciano1
 :rotflmao: MMA's ratings are already declining and PPV sales keep going downhill. That sport will NEVER overtake boxing. Meanwhile, a heavyweight fight between Klitschko (who Americans don't care for) and Bryant Jennings (a dude with 19 career fights) sold out MSG last weekend and was ...

re: Who will Mayweather fight next? - Marciano1
Andre Ward is also another boring, unbeaten champion. No one would consider him great. His style is garbage as is Floyd's.
Andre Ward is the worst boxer on the planet to watch. He holds more than a bad offensive line. The way he fights is just unwatchable. That's why he's supposedl...

re: Who will Mayweather fight next? - Marciano1
Why do you think he'll retire for a year or two? Maybe to wait for Golovkin to move up to 168 so he could avoid him or some other reason?
His fight in September will be the last on his current deal with Showtime. Now Floyd is a businessman so it would make sense for him to make a bus...

re: Is there an undercard for mayweather vs paq - Marciano1
Make sure you watch Vasyl Lomachenko. He is truly one of the most skilled boxers in the world. Dude had a 397-1 amateur record with 2 gold medals. Leo Santa Cruz is featured on the other. He's a fun fighter to watch but I'm tired of seeing him fight trash instead of fighting real dudes....
