Huskies are not sled dogs they are too big and dont have the endurance. They use them in breeding because of their coats but a lot of dogs will also have shite like a greyhound for the long legs and labs so they arent as aggressive and are easier to command.

The stats say otherwise, but okay.
Not sure where you get your stats.. but I have been around Huskies and Husky breeders (Mostly registered... ) all my life. And I have never seen them be aggressive to anyone... ever!
I would suggest that most people confuse Malamutes with Huskies and Malamutes are much more aggressive in their temperments. Malamutes are also about double the size of Huskies.
I do get the not welcome in apartments thing though due to them not doing well when they are left alone. No Husky breeder I know would ever tell a prospective owner you can leave them home all day by themselves...

Hmmm... no.. Again, Huskies are pound for pound better sled dogs than Malamutes. They are extremely tenacious and require less resources (as in food) and when you see the ididarod (??) race most of the dogs in that race have Husky breeding not Malamute.

Oh my goodness. Okay. I'm not anti-husky. I'm just giving you the facts. Look them up.

Like it or not, siberian huskies are on most prohibition lists for apartment complexes.

I know I can't speak on behalf of all Huskies just because I own one, and have been around a few others, but I haven't seen an aggressive one yet. Mine actually gets picked on by smaller dogs. I get how they can get a bad rap because if they aren't trained properly they can really mess shite up, but I've yet to witness the aggressiveness. Plus, their shedding doesn't help when it comes to apartment owners banning them.

In my experience the dogs that I see having the most problems getting aggressive at dog parks is labs and some of the smaller terriers. I know a guy that has to ask people at the park not to throw tennis balls because his lab will get possessive and might get in a fight

Never watched the Iditarod but I have never seen a sled team of purebred huskies. I did say that they use huskies when breeding sled dogs but they also use other breeds as well to get the best attributes for the races as a pure husky is not the best.

People think my pit bull eats babies when in fact he simply slaughters babies

They aren't the "best" overall but pound for pound they are. The Alaskan malamutes have longer legs but Siberian huskies have better stamina and speed for their size. Often they breed the two for sled dogs and call it an Alaskan Husky, which causes confusion

Huskies are not a big dog. Male are generally 45 to 60 pounds. Females are generally 35 to 50 pounds

Yep, mine is full grown and he tops out at 50

But he's a ferocious killer

What are some of y'all's stories?
Had a friend who lived off Strain Road in BR when that area was still quite rural. One day his two Huskies went missing. He scoured the area, but could not find them. He ended up finding their hides tacked up on the wall of a fellow's barn who killed them because the thought they were wolves.

Mine is pretty viscious as well.

Damn. The ridiculous part about that is wolves are only present in 3 states in the northwest

Beautiful dog. If only they weren't so aggressive

We have a Rhodesian Ridgeback. We were told that if this did dog didn't get 1 hours of vigorous exercise every day, she'd turn Satanic.
While she does love her walks/runs, she's perfectly content to chill in one of many of her "spots" in the house, and do nothing other than wait for the next treat to fly her way.
