I've defended this shite pretty vehemently these past few years, but enough is enough. Leadership in this city isn't concerned with making the city better, they are resigned to kissing the arse of particular constituents.

Unfortunately my parents feel the same way. They have a great spot in the Quarter and plan on putting it up for sale ASAP. I'll miss getting to visit the house but honestly I can't blame them.

I used to work at Commander's and left there many times late at night with a good sum of cash in my pocket. That was 08/09 time frame though, and, somehow, I think the city has gotten worse since then. Now I'm convinced that if you're anywhere in the city...you are due for a robbery.

The wife and I had an opportunity to move back to Louisiana. Job offer in NOLA. Would have doubled salary and moved to a cheaper real estate market.
Still passed on the option because NOLA is a dumpster fire right now. Thought about it though.
