And some of these spiritual experiences were just a bunch of dudes on hallucinogens.

Sounds fun.

Again, this is misleading. People are buying marijuana, but they are doing so by switching their spending habits to mj from other products. Every dollar spent on mj is a dollar not spent elsewhere, so the billion dollars in revenue doesn’t represent an actual gain in a billion dollars for the state, it just means the state lost a billion dollars in sales tax revenue in other industries which is now being spent in mj shops. We call this substitution effect in economics

You think people weren't buying marijuana before it was legal there?

But I still think mj can be thought of as a “substitute good”, which literally means a good that can be used in place of another. Mj is technically just a substance we consume to fulfill a bodily want.

Meanwhile, we’re still putting people IN PRISON for merely possessing the plant.

Sad we are willing to sell out our morals for the dollar and a quick high. Broken families, welfare queens, overweight, drug heads. All that makes up this country anymore. Satan continues to do his work, God will judge this nation harshly one day. Sad how far we have fallen

Do you realize what this country was built on?

I'd be really surprised if it averages anywhere near that in CO.

Right around $50 for an eighth (of flower) but that's in the Springs. It's a little cheaper in Denver.

Every time I step into a dispensary, there are at least a few out of staters

Damn. It's about half that here for top shelf. Bought a half oz today for $55. Not top shelf but tests at almost 25%.

Seems like marijuana would lead to the sale of more food products
