Clapton also uses active pickups (basically a preamp inside the guitar) so that's going to help sustain quite a bit....

Went the show here at Red Rocks a few weeks ago. I'm a huge Steely Dan fan and they were solid but not spectacular. However Costello killed it I thought. Great setlist and Alison was superb. Lot of energy....
