I pull everything down from the attic and my wife and daughter decorate while me and my son say "looks good".

Well, now that you mention it, there was a little incident last night where I threatened to drag the Christmas tree into the back yard set in on fire and convert to Judaism.

It involved 2 changes of fuses in 9 strands of C 9 lights (that were already on the tree BTW) and my husband's much too calm suggestion that it's probably best that I not drink alcohol while climbing a ladder.

But it's all good now. Merry Christmas Errybody!!

I don't care how my wife decorates the tree. She enjoys it and it always looks good in the end. I don't have a preference. You sure that you don't play for the pink team?

for christs sake, let the OL do it.

let her do the inside, and then act like her opinion matters outside.

I have never asked my wife about an ornament, or asked if we should put a dancing santa near the table/tree/etc.

u want to know why? I have a penis.

Since there is not right or wrong way, are you being a dick and saying your way is "the right way"? If so thats half your problem, the other half is that you actually care that much about christmas decorating.

Yep. Sit in chair. Drink. Occasionally say, "Looks good, honey."

That works for me year-round. I still recall my batchelor pad and it was not impressive. What the hell do I care, I pay for it and she decorates it? Seems like a fair deal to me

Love that this has received so many responses. Christmas is a great time of year and decorating the tree has always been a family event.

I always let my wife decorate the tree's ornaments and all I care about is the lights. This year though, I took the advice of the OT and let her decorate the tree 100% while I "helped". Worked beautifully. I helped her with the lights and then went into the man cave to watch football and play a little XB1 while she decorated the rest of the house.

OT saves another marriage.

We used to get into it now we just bicker a bit some times and laugh others. We also divide responsibilities but with input either way.

Sometimes I think she might be crazy, like literally insane, albeit still mostly manageable, but I try to keep perspective or drink more than usual.

This is my wife too. But I also think this is 95% of women. Except for my daughter. She's normal.

We tend to argue about it every year, but it's definitely not for the same reasons.

I just genuinely don't care and think it's a waste of money, so when she decorates it and is disappointed that I don't get excited, she gets upset and thinks I'm ruining it for her.

Christmas sucks.

Went play XB1? You've got more problems than a Christmas tree. Grow the hell up man.
