Five of us meeting up there from Wed-Sat. One kid 4 yo, the rest grownups. What do we want to do? Which of the popular places are overrated? What are some cool places that nobody knows about? Are there any tours that aren't shitty tourist trap tours?
Give me good ideas and I'll post babes.
So I landed around noon yesterday and too the train into town. I Hotwire gave me a smokin' rate at the Radisson Blue Aqua
for one night. I took a boat tour of Chicago arcitecture and walked the Magnificent Mile, ending up at Gino's.
Noon today the rest of the family arrived and we all checked into the Essex Hotel on Michigan Ave. We took the double-decker bus tour, which I highly recommend. It goes around to all the cool stuff and you can hop off, check it out and hop on another bus coming through. (Busses arrive every half hour or so.) $35 gets you a 3 day pass. The Navy Pier is overrated, just as someone said, but the Willis Tower is worth the ride.
I gotta do Google work to find out what all's open tomorrow but I'm sure we can find a museum or two open.
