Ppl on reddit are saying that cpr was performed for 10 minutes before they got a pulse...

I'm not a Dr but that doesn't sound good.

Thanks! It will probably be spring before I'm back to normal. Just got to be patient with my recovery and rehab.

Darth-glad you pulled through. Please take cardiac rehab seriously. Without a change in lifestyle the grafts will eventually close. We have come a long way in cardiac care but without the patient being an active participant...it's all for naught.

I'm sure your family is feeling so much thankfulness to have you around this holiday season

Report I just saw said they did CPR for 15 min before getting a pulse and that she was still unresponsive when they landed and got her loaded on an ambulance.

Hate to say it, but I think we will be having a Carrie Fisher RIP thread very soon.

Thanks. I'm doing everything my cardiologist and PTs are telling me to do. It is not always easy and calls on a good deal of patience though.

Hopefully not...we recently did CPR via device for 7 hours and the patient pulled through....maybe ms. Fisher will be as lucky.

It gets harder. I had my procedure a year and a half ago and after a while you really have to resist old habits.

The only bad habits I'm really having to give up is my old diet. From now on low sodium, no-trans fats, no green-leafy vegetables, and oddly enough, no grapefruit.

Past that I've just got to keep up with my excercises. Today that consists of things like simple leg lifts and kicks, curling little 5 lb dumbbells, and walking non-stop for 4 min in a circle around my living room. As time goes by and I make progress, all those things will grow. It's just going to be a slow process.

I said it from the beginning, the Star Killer should have gotten one last shot off to kill c3po, leia, r2, and whoever else was left over from the original except Luke and Chewbacca

Han is taken care of....but what should have happened is that Chewbacca goes into his wookie rage and saves Finn and Rey....by sacrificing himself(ie OB1)

Chebacca blindsides Kylo Ren mauling him and ripping off his arm( like Luke and Vader)...but then uses the force to kill Chewbacca eventually.

Force awakens "Luke feels the planet and his friends die"(like OB1)

Kylo wanting to follow in the footsteps of hos grandfather....now has to use a mask and robot suit because he's all fricked up.

Everyone gets a cameo, die a heroes death, and the new characters can develop on their own w/o playing anymore homages to the original trilogy.

May the Force kill your ideas.

Leia was the reason a lot of teenage boys' socks disappeared, back in those gold bikini days.

good to hear, what a lot of people don't understand is if CPR is started right away, and done correctly, the act of CPR is giving oxygen to the body / brain, and in good conditions can actually keep a person from having serious things go wrong after they come back... the key is, they have to come back, and fairly quickly after the 10-15 minute mark.
