My current projected income at retirement is as follows... retiring at 65 16k a month from my 401k until age 80
You have 2.8 million in a 401k though? That is pretty impressive. I have warned my kids (21 & 24) to not count on that system to be solvent and plan accordingly....

re: Is there such thing as a Full ride scholarship for academics? - mworld938
My daughter had a full Academic based scholarship to FSU. Completed her freshman year then transferred back to LSU. Tops can be renistated during your sophomore year only except for military service which lengthens it longer. Of course, Tops is on life support now....

re: What is so good about Covington, Louisiana - mworld938
Because gas was cheaper than private school. Covington High is kinda meh, but many parts of Covington are zoned for Mandeville schools. Now that my kids are grown, I have thought of moving to New Orleans, but my house & land is too nice to trade for a crowded Uptown spot. There is too much tr...

re: Black vote is down bigly in North Carolina. The media says it's vote suppression - mworld938
Everyone that shows up to vote in N. Carolina is allowed to cast a vote. If they are not found on the voter rolls, their ballot is considered provisional during the verification process. The complaints from Dems are BS smoke and mirrors. ...

Dennis Farina. May he rest in peace. I loved him, but he was always Dennis. I guess that is typical with type cast actors though. For headliners, I nominate Tom Cruise. He sucks so bad. ...

re: Grilling Tuna--Educate me please - mworld938
As others have said, high heat and 1-2 minutes a side. I leave it out on the counter for an hour before cooking. It will come out with a bright red center. I usually just rub with olive oil, heavily salt, black pepper and a couple of shakes of red pepper (cayenne). Slice thin and fan on a plate ...

I was Chief of a Coast Guard small boat detachment in Virginia. We were dispatched to NYC and made it to Ground Zero before midnight. It was a surreal experience and the deployment lasted 90 days before we were relieved. God Bless the people of New York. The ash was so thick that everyone looked...
