It shows Baton Rouge has the highest starting salary for policemen compared to New Orleans, Lake Charles and Shreveport and it's not even close.

Truth. Yes, crime has continued to fall yet we still have massive police departments. In turn, with crime falling, instead of spending 90% of their time targeting hardcore crime, they've slowly moved to popping citizens with petty crimes. THAT in my opinion is a major issue with modern day policing in the USA.

Hammond is paid more than BR on that site, I am not sure how accurate it is.

Indicting someone is easy. Convicting them is extremely hard without physical evidence(DNA), multiple witnesses, Video and a confession.
Don't be surprised if they do not get a conviction.
