Am I missing something? This burger was suggested several times in this thread. It's just a burger cooked on a flat top with Sysco products???

Grab a burger from Judice Inn

Not a bad burger, but I swear people from Lafayette act like it is Gods gift to mankind. I don't get it.

When I worked in Lafayette someone from my office brought me there for lunch, and was shocked when I said it was an alright burger, but nothing different from a burger at many small burger joints. It's not that I didn't like it, but there certainly wasn't anything special about it.

Ok so it isn't just me.... I googled it and only going off pictures, but looks like the same exact thing I can walk down the street and grab at Cloved Grill

Avery Island
Walk the trail at the Horse Farm
Even taking a swamp tour during the day on the Basin would probably be fun.

You came the week in between a lot of good festivals unfortunately.

It's pretty meh, but people from Lafayette act like it's the best burger in the world.

Judice Inn

I think it's just kind of a tradition since it's been there for so long and it's been built up to this legendary status over time.

I think it's good, but I agree that it's over rated by some around town.

They season their patties up decent. The sauce is pretty good too.
I prefer the burgers from Southside Bakery.
Also, you can get good fries at Southside.

Judice Inn always gives me bubble guts. But I still devour it every now and then.

I agree man. Just think it gets a little overhyped.

Plus they're better when anybody besides Gerald cooks em, since he burns the frick out em.

Grab a burger from Judice Inn. Maybe go check out the arts and science museum downtown.

Pretty solid suggestion.

The best burger in Laffy is Broaddus.

Downtown has Pops Poboys and Carpe Diem Gelato. Both are bomb. There's also Johnson's Boucaniere that's not far from either.

Olde Tyme is overhyped. Pop's is so much better. I don't think Judice Inn is overhyped though. I love that place.

I do love me a pulled pork grilled cheese from Johnson's too.

Judice isn't bad but its overrated IMO.

Broaddus would be my go to for a burger. Fat Pats is good as well.

I 100% agree with that.

This as well.

And I have no issue with JI, for the record, just the hype.

My preference.

We do agree on Pops and Johnsons being good as frick at least. Pops absolutely destroys Old Tyme.

Shrimp from Olde Tyme is legit for sure. The rest of their stuff is mostly just ok.
