I never understood the love for Wegmans and I used to go to the Syracuse spots.

Albertsons is the worst chain stores in America. They are so overpriced, but for no reason.

East Texas has a bunch of Brookshire Bros and it reminds me exactly of an Albertons. Sterile over priced rectangle of aisles.

LeBlanc's was way better than Rouse's before they got bought out, but Rouse's isn't terrible.

HEB gets my vote

I love our Rouses and when we are in Texas we always hit up HEB

I don't know if Oak Point counts. But that would also be my submission. Far as I know they only have two stores and that doesn't make them regional, more of a local store.

HEB is badass though as someone who doesn't get to go to them often.

I know Rouses is mentioned frequently on here. Is it of Publix quality?

No.

The pricing is comparable though

The Rouse’s in Youngsville is aight.

Publix is decent, but it’s no HEB.

The fancy Central Market HEB is the best regional grocery.

All that being said, I shop at Albertsons most often out of convenience.

H-E-B is awesomely good

Downvotes clearly from persons that haven’t shopped at HEB.

Central Market

I do love Central Market, although their prices are higher than Whole Foods. Granted, I haven't been to the CM in Houston since before COVID.

Their wine classes were legit. I've moved to the 'burbs, so a little far to be driving buzzed afterwards.

Rouses is garbage. I’ve never been to one that impressed me, and the employees are of the Popeyes caliber…

East Causeway in Mandeville is what every rouses should strive to be.

This conversation begins and ends with Winn Dixie, in my view.

Real good food from real good people, at a real good price. That's the "Real Deal;" that's Winn Dixie.

You haven't been to the Prairieville Winn Dixie since they had the management change. The new management brought in "their people", and it's gone downhill.

Piggly Wiggly (technically it crosses into more than one region, but it is most heavily located in the southeast).

Rouses.

I would consider Publix a Tier 1 store and Rouses as Tier 2. They are good but they just don’t quite have all the little stuff that Publix does.

Winn-Dixie here is usually pretty good and clean with an above average wine selection.
