Woodman's Food Market in Wisconsin is easily the best grocery store I've ever been to.

ETA: To add, the average HEB is 70-80k sq ft, whereas Woodman's Food Market averages 230k sq ft

Kroger and it's affiliates. King Soopers is amazing, and if I leave I'll miss it.

Nothing beats a good Wegman’s.

Daily I miss being near a flagship store for them

es it’s slightly more expensive, but my God, the products and caliber of employee are both tremendously better.

Just admit you like flirting with the 78 year old cashiers...

Do you follow their FB page? Whoever runs it can be kind of a price. He's made comments about customers and things that have been very cringy.

Also it's packed AF all the time.

But I agree their selection is good.

This is the truth.

Rouses I believe has grown too fast via acquisition. It's resulted in stores that all have different looks, different levels of employee and managers, etc.

Some of their stores are very good and others are absolute trash.

Company I used to work for had a terminal near their Mechanicsburg PA location. They set the bar for me on what I'd love have as a grocer - that level of quality and cleanliness just can't be matched anywhere else, and their deli food is just fantastic.

My personal favorite is Harris Teeter in the Carolinas. It’s on the pricey side but you won’t see trash in there and the employees are friendly.

Harris Teeter was my grocery spot when we lived in Carolina.

The Rouses on 22 in Mandeville is the best grocery store I’ve ever been to. Literally, the best. Better than Publix and all the other groceries mentioned.

The Rouses on 190 in Covington next to Home Depot is one of the worst grocery stores (any chain) I’ve ever been to.

Are they actually owned by the same people???

Most HEBs are always fricking packed (unless you live near one of the smaller ones in a fancy neighborhood). I despise when I have to go to one. Its like bumper-carts in their produce section.

i live in a downtown historic district that is way closer to the ghetto than it is the suburbs and we have a smaller HEB over here. it's literally called "Ghetto HEB by people of all classes and color. if i'm doing a bigger grocery run, i'll head to the other one, but get smaller stuff here.

one time i saw a friend that lives 30 minutes away in the smaller one by me. he's a tad bit more than wealthy and it caught me by surprise to see him there and he said that he comes to this one because they are the only one that carries certain hot sauces due to the more diverse clientele.

Albertsons is the worst chain stores in America. They are so overpriced, but for no reason. Trader Joe’s and Aldi are the correct answers to this post.

100% - just look at the difference of the stores on Gause in Slidell. I know the one at the tracks used to be an Albertsons, but shite - they've had it now for what, 5 years, and it still looks like an old Albertsons.
