re: Beer in Austin - L Boogie
This is a fun little article about PHP and the style of beer they are calling Pinthouse IPAs. It gives good insight into Joe's personality and passion. re: Beer in Austin - L Boogie
Not in the next month or two, but Holdin's a hit so I imagine it will be back in the nearish future. In the process of installing two new fermenters so will be able to keep up with EJ production while making larger batches of the more exclusive IPAs. Every special IPA in the last 8 months or s...

re: Beer in Austin - L Boogie
EJ has been hugely successful, moreso than I think anyone anticipated...Zappy Squid was Burnet's response to Jelly and while it's good, EJ is considered the best local IPA for a reason. Same with Juice, it was an answer to Lamar's WTF is Juice? Which, in my opinion, is the best beer to ever come ...

re: Beer in Austin - L Boogie
Just be aware that the North pub and the South pub have different beers on, so don't go to Burnet expecting Jellyfish, and vice versa. The director of brewing is the same at both locations so a lot of the styles are the same (NE IPAs at both), but the brew crews are different so the beers are als...

re: Beer in Austin - L Boogie
Pinthouse South Lamar has the juiciest, best selling IPA in town called the Electric Jellyfish. Also on tap is the Road to Nowhere DIPA. Badass APA called Green Battles, double dry-hopped experimental hop blend. The North pub probably has some good shite on as well. Just depends on the ...

re: Stiles Switch, Rudy's, Terry Black's, & Slab (Austin) - L Boogie
Yeah, they're definitely open, but I guess they're still transitioning. Their brisket is incredible, and get a beef rib! Save room for a taco, too...their tortillas are made in house and are incredible. Basic brisket taco is the best but if they have the Vaquero on special, get that. Valen...

re: Portland, ME recommendations - L Boogie
Is Portland pretty walkable as a whole, or is there a certain part of town that is easier to navigate when walking? I'll be in Boston in 2 weeks visiting my main squeeze and we have talked about taking the Downeaster up there for the weekend, but he doesn't want to have to drive at all, so we w...

re: Breweries that brew both NE and NW style IPAs well - L Boogie
I was coming in here to say Pinthouse Pizza. Not because I'm biased, but because the director of brewing is an absolute genius in all things hoppy. He's doing things with pellets, lupulin powder, etc that are unprecedented, and the IPAs/Pale Ales run the gamut....

A friend of mine from high school was sentenced to life in Angola a few years ago. Beat a guy to death with a baseball bat during a drug deal gone bad. He must have gotten into some real bad shite because I would NEVER have thought this guy was capable of something like that....
