Lord loves a working man.

Don't trust whitey.

See a doctor and get rid of it.

I’m 24-26, & just received a substantial promotion/raise in BR, the city of my upbringing. It’s fairly life changing.

If it hasn't been said yet start a 401k or so sort of savings vehicle and put as much money as you can towards it. Great age and recent promotion should make it a great opportunity to start.

you think 30 comes fast. I feel like I turned 30 a couple days ago. Almost 40 now
My advice would be to learn to slow down, I bought a camp and will "go fishing" just to find a quiet spot in the spillway and just sit and enjoy the quiet for a couple hours (and fap if I have cell service).

Suck your own dick. Eventually you'll get married, and no one else is going to do it for you. I'm too old and not limber enough to do it, but I feel like if you start at a young age, then you should be okay. Remember: suck your own dick.

Save half of that disposable income. The other half - use it to travel to other countries.

frick saving money. Spend that shite and make memories. If you don't do it now, you may never have another opportunity. This is the youngest you'll ever be.

I'm not saying this is a wrong answer... because everyone is different.

But let me give you a different perspective. I have worked my arse off all my life. I'm now approaching 50... my house is paid for, my 4 kids college is saved for and I'm able to truly enjoy life without the typical stress that money issues bring under normal routine.

For those reasons, I have zero regrets of my sacrifices at an earlier age.

Well, I do have one regret... I wish I had started scuba diving 10 - 15 years ago.

Dating: Date a woman who makes the same amount of money as you do otherwise you will regret it.

Bumble is amazing.

I can go on and on just remember those two things.

Money: You are already ahead of where I was at your age. 401k / IRA / start saving 20% for the house if you can. Enjoy life but don't waste money on Tinderellas.

Work: If you just got your first raise / promotion give yourself a 3-year window with current company. If for whatever reason you are not happy with progression or money start putting out feelers. It is okay to move to another company, just don't do it three fricking times in 2 years.

Other:

Get a dog or a cat (whatever floats your boat).

Do not settle for ANYTHING. You have sooooo much time to make up for mistakes. Don't fear to fail.

There are no wise men on this site. If you're looking for good advise you won't find it here.

put as much as you can towards 401k where you can still comfortably live, especially if the company matches.

Don't settle.

If you wish to be wealthy later in life, realize it will require sacrifice in the present. Example -- buying a late model truck verse new. I still pay myself a weekly cash allowance. That IS my spending money. Credit is easy to abuse. Don't count on an inheritance as it may never happen.

Life is an adventure. Have something of an "adventure" as often as possible.

Get in shape and stay in shape. Life is so much easier if you are fit.

In love if you find yourself failing again and again in relationships, something in the personality of the women you choose is corrosive to who and what you are. Ponder it and pick against the grain in the future.

Immortality for most of us is in the form of deeds, good or bad, and our children.

Have fun. Have a purposeful, great life!

Travel!!!!!

Even if alone. Travel some alone. Go out alone. That’s why god made uber. Wish I’d have discovered how relaxing just getting a beer by myself was when I was your age. Always felt like I had to be with friends.

Don’t turn down fricking a fat chick. When you’re 35 and married you’ll look back and all the missed conquests and wonder why you had standards.

Move to New Orleans, get a trashy apartment and a trashy girlfriend. Get a tattoo. Drink a lot. Then start again next year.

Save at least 10% of your income. Don't marry the party girl from the bar. Wait to have kids until you can afford it.

Family? Need more details. If single, calculate your operating expenses, including modest spending money, and put the rest of your pay check in a mutual fund. Do that with 20% in your 401k, and you will bounce at 50-55 doing what you want until you die. When you get married, make sure the wife knows this is your financial strategy, and it won't change.
