It read as you were hypothesizing on his anger based on information that his GF was in BR protesting. You even referenced her profession.

If you're writing fiction. Then do it elsewhere.

Dude, if it offends you, then fine.

I'm just trying to figure out why a TPOS radical snaps in a particular place and a particular time. There's been a helluva lot of speculation about why he did it and how he was radicalized, most of which I think is on the money. I'm just speculating about why here, and why now.

This is a sensitive time for a lot of people, so if it bothers ya'll, then fuggit.

Let me try and help. In the last few years there have been some publicized killings where blacks were killed by white LEO's or white Hispanic people. Our president jumped in and made divisive statements before any of the facts were known.

Our media, who has an agenda to increase ratings sensationalized it without knowing any of the facts. Many facts were made up, with a large dose of speculation thrown in. Things that were not true were repeated, ad nauseum, until a sane, rational person would have trouble discerning what is true.

Add to this all of the race pimps doing the same thing to generate money through donations to "fight the power" and "advance the cause".

Add a few thousand playings of the BLM slogans calling for dead cops.

Add the twisting of facts to create a victim mentality among blacks.

Add the constant influx of slavery talk, calls for reparations, and blaming all whites for events 150 years ago.

Now add it all together and throw in a few individuals who may have been unstable or had PTSD. Something is going to happen.

Whooping the crowd up is an old psychological phenomenon. It has been done masterfully, for profit, by many recently.

With the media and electronic access to untold amounts of tinder, a few fires are going to get started. These two are the first of more to come because there are many unstable people out there still. Manipulating them for profit pays good money.

Publicized events brought the latest shooter to BR because he heard many times that the killing of Sterling was unjustified. This is before all the facts are known and video angles are released for public consumption.

Expect to see more.

He had to start somewhere. Why must a dumbfrick racist nut have a triggering event?

Just because it rains here but not in Baker doesn't mean the people in BR are controlling the weather.

That may be the answer. Guess I'm too much of a rationalist.

Gary being Gary....and by that I mean fat and stupid
quote:

n individual came into Baton Rouge with a mission, it was not to protest. It was to harm law enforcement. By his own admission he was not affiliated with any group or any protest. His mission was one that does not represent the tone or mission of the protest around this country. The shooter whose name I will not mention, took the lives of men in our community who like Alton Sterling, did not deserve to die. Men who went to do a job and lost their lives doing it.

While my thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the officers, because the loss of life is tragic and shameful under these circumstances. I cannot be silent while voices in our community attempt to paint peaceful protestors as a part of the problem. Community leaders in Baton Rouge from day one of protesting have been working to ensure the safety of both protestors and police alike – and will continue to do so in the future.

I have witnessed and helped organize protest against the unjust killing of Alton Sterling. I will continue to help organize protest moving forward, because we cannot allow the narrative of mainstream media to twist the actions of an individual into the mission of a peaceful people.

It is not protest that caused this mad man to react the way that he did and take the lives of innocent officers. It is the lack of justice nationwide, when men and women of color are killed by law enforcement that has caused this. If we are serious about wanting to fix this, we must begin real conversations about why we are here. We must change laws, ordinances, and policies to require that police who dishonor the badge face the same consequences as anyone else who breaks the law. Then and only then, can our community truly heal from the wounds of a home grown terrorist.

putting alton into the same category as Sunday's heroes is a crock of shite

We can no longer ignore the sting of injustice. Our city is now the place where both injustices occurred, the injustice of Alton Sterling’s murder and the murder of the slain police officers. Our community has an opportunity to get it right, and show the nation how to fix what we got wrong. We have seen the images of slain police officers, and we have witnessed the murder of a neighborhood “CD man” and we must be deliberate in our pursuit for justice for both.

I can only hope that the news of no charges causes that cholesterol clogged heart of his to stop
