I wouldn't say trashy. But if I were to go to a different country, I wouldn't want to stay at a place like that.

Nothing trashy about having a butler bring you food and drinks whenever you want while handling all your dinner and excursion reservations.

I don't know about trashy, but I can't understand why someone would go out of the country to stay at some chain resort

Not trashy at all. I enjoy the idea of eating and drinking as much as you want and never having to worry about toting around a wallet or how much you're spending. I haven't been to the one you're talking about, but the place I went in Ocho Rios was top notch.

Most people who say Sandals is trashy probably has never been or has a stick up their arse. They are not the greatest vacation but for the price, it is not a bad experience at all.

Went to the one in Antigua for a friends wedding. The place was ok, food was ok, but it was far from nice for the money spent. Sorry this restaurant is booked tonight, try the buffet, etc. This is a big problem if you aren't staying in one of the butler rooms and there for only a couple of days.

If you want to get away, relax, feel safe, not have to worry about carrying money, then sandles is awesome.

If you want to move around, see differnt things, plan your own trip then sandles is likely not for you and some would use the word trashy.

I've, been and many of my friends and family has been and I never heard one complaint. We aren't trashy by the way.

Sandals are like stationary cruise ships. You will have the higher end rooms with not so trashy people, but you will still have a good bit of the resort that is trashy.

Of course they're trashy as hell, but that doesn't mean they're not a great value, have decent food, clean, and you'll have a wonderful vacation. Trashy people want nice things too.

If you want a non-trashy vacation, you'll have to spend 5-10 times as much.

non-trashy

ETA: and the resort above is pretty trashy to plenty of .1 percenters. It's all relative. There are even some that Grand Isle and Holly Beach are trashy.

What's the average age group that go to a Sandals redort?

How old are you guys and gals who've gone and enjoyed it?

I was thinking maybe it's the age group issue. That's all I got. Older, experienced resorters don't enjoy young uns vacation antics.

Just got back from Atlantis in September. It was the tits! Went with two other couples who didn't like Sandals. Their biggest complaint was that Sandals was run down and the buffet food was horrible.

Check out couples resorts. They are owned by Sandals and don't allow kids.

That's my only beef with it. I would rather get a VRBO and wing it if I am going to a tropical island.
