Thinking of trading the Vette on an XJL (need a family travel car for a couple years). I've heard about reliabilty issues with Jaguars, but don't know if it pertains to newer models or if it's just an old reputation that stuck. Anyone have experience with them? Any mechanical issues? Is there service department treatment on par with other luxury dealers?

Since your son* won the National Martial Arts Championship, give him the Vette. He deserves it.

You shouldn't have to trade anything in, only poors do that.

No but I shot a bobcat a few years and had it mounted.

I drove the F type. It was fun.
The XJL came across as a BMW 750 copy.

I own the XF model, no issues really. Very fun car to drive. I do want to upgrade to the F type. That thing is clean.

The reliability thing is an old reputation that stuck, Jags are good cars.

I want to get the XK, so I can put the kids in the back seat. But I'm sure Jag will put out a new Tourer soon, so I may just wait.

You should just get a Taurus. It's the same shitty car with 80% less maintenance cost.

Owned one... Beautiful car that was fun to drive.. 2008.. Mechanical issues were a problem mainly because the fix took longer than expected.. Finally traded it in a few years ago but would consider owning one or a Benz as an extra car sometime down the line.

I'll answer you if you answer this question right. Do you pronounce it Jag-war or Jag-you-are?
