Headed to New Orleans on business and looking for something to do at night in addition to bar hopping and strip clubs.

There's a quaint little area called Central City with a lot of historical sights. Just wander around on foot.

WW2 Museum closes at 5 or 6.
If you the outdoors type see about taking a bowfishing trip.

Yes something cheesy like that Any reputable ones that you know of? The WW2 museum does sound intriguing though.

I've always wanted to do one of those cemetary tours.
There used to be a nighttime vampire tour.

Quarter is loaded with history. Maybe see about a walking history tour.

My kinky ex-GF from New Orleans always wanted to do a "cemetery tour" if you know what I mean.
About the only thing we never crossed off the old bucket list.

They are touristy cheesy, but the haunted history tours are cool for tourists.
Take a ride on the riverboat Natchez.

I did the vampire tour once, it was interesting. I didn't see any vampires though :(

There's a historic cocktail tour, not sure what time of day. I hear it's fun.

I did the Haunted History Tour earlier this year and was somewhat disappointed. It amounts to pointing out houses and saying "someone saw a ghost here." The only house worthy n the tour was the LaLaurie house. It really is highly dependent on the tour guide. They make or break the experience. Do some research on places like tripadvisor, read reviews, find out who the best guides are, and request a specific guide. And that only takes a few minutes, it's not as difficult as it sounds. I read up on the tour but didn't request a particular guide. I should have.

Hell get a big beer and do a carriage ride. Get a good bit of history with those. Especially if you've never been or have no knowledge of history.

Definitely take one through the ninth ward so you can take in all the culture
But seriously, you can see plenty just walking around. And you can drink in the process

Did that, and you are absolutely correct. The carriage ride was very pleasant, and they do narrate the tours well. I did one right there in the Quarter, and would love to do one in the Garden District next. Definitely a better option than the haunted tour.

Were you hoping Alexander Skarsgard would show up?
