You should try and do some stuff that doesn't suck arse next time you're in New Orleans.

I didn't gain a true appreciation for New Orleans until I knew someone with a house down there. Previously I thought it was a fricking shithole because all I did was stay in the quarter. Now I have my favorite breakfast places, sandwich shops, restaurants, etc. It's a great city.

I'd say underrated. When I moved I learned that people, in fact, were not murdered on every street corner and that the city is actually a lot more fun than the quarter.

That was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but seriously, there are literally hundreds of better things to do in New Orleans than go to Bourbon. Seems like you didn't have much time to fart around and really see the city, but I recommend broadening your horizons next time you're there.

Bourbon street is the best and only thing in New Orleans. People get murdered every day.

I truly didn't and I had no idea where I was going. Only reason I went to Manning's was because I was hungry and didn't know any other places around. Plus I thought it be a cool sports bar

Don't mind him. Living in NOLA has caused him to become jaded towards the emotions of others.

At least you enjoyed your visit, enough to want to go back. Bourbon street, to locals and people that have been to New Orleans many times, is a wast of time. But to people that have never been it's part of the experience.

As many have already said though, there is so much more to see and do there. Next time you go back just post a thread on here asking what to see and do.
