I know dolphins are mammals, but since the live in the water I guess they're cool to eat!

Everybody needs to read this in the voice of the guy that saved William Wallace's (Mel Gibson's) life from that archer.

Frog legs are included with a seafood platter. Therefore, frogs are seafood and ok to eat on Friday during Lent.

I think the point of abstinence is to remind us of Christ and His sacrifice. This can still happen even if the meal is enjoyed. It sort of disrupts your routine. Even if you think it is stupid, it can still remind you of His sacrifice.

I was raised Catholic and attended Catholic schools from first grade to 12th. The SSND nuns terrified us to the point that if you coughed and did not put your hand over your mouth, you were going to hell. I could not go to my neighbor's camp on a weekend because I would miss Mass on Sunday and that was a mortal sin. When I attended LSU, I stopped going to Church. Within the last 15 years I started going to church again, but I joined the Episcopal religion. Just look at all the Catholics that are going to hell because the Catholic Church does not believe in birth control. They recently approved the use of condoms because of the AIDS epidemic. I wonder how many Catholics are burning in hell for knowingly missing Sunday mass? Growing up they taught us about purgatory but they did away with that belief. I don't believe that the Pope is infallible but just an ordinary man.

I had bacon with my breakfast. After eating the Little Debbie of meats, I'm assuming that there's no way I'm not going to Hell now.

Can I get a ruling on the archaeopteryx?

ETA:

At some point - Creationists would've had to deal with this one.

Fish meat is still meat as far as I'm concerned.
