You said they would go to hell, thats the definition of judgment.

I know you were joking, but people really seem to get bent when you mention you give something up for lent. Dont worry why someone does it.

What I don't get is why so many people thing catfish are OK for Lent. They are mammals. Most people don't know that.

this is really what is being discussed more than the individuals and what the individual people are doing

Well, as a frog isn't a fish, I'd assume they are both meat.

And most people forget that they are only supposed to have one single meal on Friday during Lent

Not required anymore. Fasting is required on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, and strongly encouraged throughout the Lenten season, along with prayers and alms giving.

Abstaining from meat =/= Fasting

Abstaining is more about remembrance of the season, and only a minor sacrifice. It seems to work as it always captures the attention of Catholics, active and inactive, and non-Catholics alike.

So is referring to yourself in the 3rd person on a message board.

People give you shite about it, yet you keep doing it. You shake the haters. But now, you seem to be hating.

Is it because we live in the south and can gorge on seafood? Not all Catholics live near the water.

No because it isn't possible to be religious and not eat meat. If you truly loved God you wouldn't insult him by refusing to eat his greatest gift to man.
