relocating isn't cheap - if someone is offered a position with relocation paid, then I agree with you. A lot of companies don't offer that though.
You can figure it out, if your options are no adequate job (~20k salary) and moving to a new city where there is an adequate job (~40k salary) you have to figure out how to make it work.

Parental leave and familial time is encouraged in Europe while it is flat fricking punished in the U.S.
I didn't think sharia law allowed that

You are over generalizing.

Really not that simple - factor in possible student loans or other debt and other monthly expenses in addition to moving costs (transportation, deposits, movers, etc) and you'll find that any rainy day fund or savings account will be drained pretty quickly in a move like that. This is speaking from experience. '
My last move tallied about $4K + the cost of my new vehicle (sold the old one when I moved). Most new grads don't have that money laying around unless mom and dad help.
eta: Luckily I did not have student loans I had to pay on or any other reoccuring bills (just my phone bill which is about $90)

If you have a degree and can't get a job that requires a degree, work where you can and save as much money as you can. When you have enough cash saved start looking for jobs elsewhere.
When I was first out of school I had to take a job that was non degree requiring, but still managed to save enough cash to pay for grad school. You can save money while working a shitty job if you're frugal enough.

Yeah, until the employer wonders why the hell you weren't in the industry 3 years after you graduated.

So your solution is that the people who are able to obtain higher profile corporate jobs are the ones who should be propagating less? Interesting.
The ones that can't recognize a little sarcastic humor should probably consider it.

The term has a specific meaning.

There's a reason legislation is coming in to stop this or limit forgiveness. Plenty of articles showing how these balances are skyrocketing.
They shouldn't be giving these loans out. Its ridiculous the amount of people that can't pay them back. I got through LSU with $0 in loans. It's not that hard.

Like I said earlier, if you go out of state to a public college, it is easily over $40k/yr. I think LSU and Ole Miss are the cheapest, and under that number, but UGA and Gumpville are almost $50k. That blows my fricking mind

God, I would love some of these college grads to come work for me.
I've sent out requests to McNeese's students graduating with degrees in teaching, business, art, etc. and offering 35-40k to. I want intelligent (semi-intelligent) people to come learn my trade. Not once have I ever gotten a bite.
To a point made earlier in the thread- the kids coming out of our local tech school have spent two years on an almost worthless degree (my trade). They could have come to me straight out of high school and gotten paid a decent wage for on the job training and I would have paid for their certifications. If they do make it all the way through the tech school program, they come out thinking they should be making 100k a year because that's what the trade school told them they could make.
My industry has no one coming up in it. Everyone is old or getting there quick and replacements or new blood can't be found. I've even considered going the Latino route but I can't find them either.
(I wasn't replying to you scruffy, just the thread in general)
For 40k a year, I'll commute across the atchafalaya and do whatever type of work you want.

Hell we can carpool.
I commute 75 miles a day now as it is. 90 if you include my inevitable doing errands on lunch.

Come on over. I interview anytime an applicant walks through the door. Medical and vacation included. There's always openings in the trade. We all need people.
Desk, computer, phone & tablet are here waiting on the right candidate.

When you say SWLA, you MEAN it.
It would cost me 14,000$ a year to drive to you.
I figured you meant rayne or crowley, not sulphurish.
