I don't do it but I am fully for these types of diets and supplement companies. Yes, you could do all this stuff yourself for free but some people need to have a structured plan and be invested into it for it to work.

Maybe Advocare would just be a stepping stone for some and they will like the way they feel and research on dieting afterwards.

Oh and don't mention to them that it's a pyramid scheme either,

First off, I agree with everything you said. But, I hate when people say this. There's nothing wrong with a pyramid scheme, but that phrase has such a negative connotation attached to it, people automatically think BAD when they hear it.

Like many of these things, they end up fricking up friendships and sometimes families when people try and sell the products or bring people into it.

You lost a ton of water weight from being on a low carb diet.

Whatever you want it to be. I lost the weight and it's still off months later.

I'm just saying that everyone jumps to calling it stupid because of the price and the pyramid scheme aspect and writes it off as stupid people that are doing something that will not work. Then when people get results, they say that it's just water weight or you'll just gain it back. That's any diet that anyone has ever done. It may be overpriced and some of the things aren't needed, but it is a diet that works if you follow it. You can call it stupid, but I think it's dumb when people try to make it seem like the results are not legitimate.

Good for you then. Usually when people lose weight that fast it is mainly water loss though.

Meh crash diets and loading up on sups isn't really all that healthy. Too many people want the now results without putting in the actual long term work.

Coming from a person in the highest tier who dropped $3k like an idiot to get there, I will give you an unbiased opinion on Advocare because I regret it some. I still have to pay these jackoffs $50 a year to stay an adviser. No, I do not make money, because, no, I can't pester people and sell them anything I don't personally use/approve.

There are some really great and unique products (Spark , Catalyst , Meal Replacement Shakes) that actually end up saving you money in the long run. A lot of their products are decent quality. Their Omega 3s are well balanced and are environment-friendly (ecosystem wise). There is a smidgen of moral compass.

There are some products that are a fricking money dump that could be replaced easily at GNC or the like (Most of the workout powders for instance). AFTER my 40% discount, I'm barely getting the bang for my buck with some of the product. Take that out, and you're just flat getting ripped off.

On to the 24 day Challenge: Get the Meal Replacement Shakes and the Omega 3s and handpick the rest in larger quantities to save money if you want to do it again. Probably could go with a different cleanse too. The shakes are pretty key imo.

Finding a supplier. Let me let you in on a little secret. They get 40% off. There are plenty of people that would sell to a new customer below the advertised price (even though Advocare gets super pissed). If you tell them you want 15-20% off, or you'll find someone that will, are they going to let that money walk away anyways? No.

I personally would never charge friends full price for this crap and I make between 1-3$ per item for my time as opposed to the $8+/item that most of these people make.

i was going to do it, and i ordered it, and then i read the diet. Its basically a paleo/protein diet for 24 days. Then advocare mixes their products in with it. In my opinion, you lose the weight from sticking to the diet, not from the products advocare sells

Thanks for the tip. Now I know why my friend is offering me 10% off if I order from her.
