People who show up to the route right when the parade starts bitching about people who take the effort to plan ahead to gain advantage over said people...happens every year.

This was going to be my next post. MIL sets up for Bacchus on Saturday afternoon and sleeps out there so we have a good spot. You want to be in front and see at the big parades, that's what you have to do. People bitching are just too lazy to put in the effort to make it happen.

That doesn't seen to be what the discussion is about. I thought the issue was string up a big arse ladder that takes up the space of 6 people so you can have first grab at trinkets?
Camping out and setting up early is different that setting up a 16' ladder so an adult can get better beads and block the view of others. This just sounds so retarded.

You wanna know what's an a-hole thing to do? We were by the Endymion stage at the beginning yesterday and two groups put up scaffolding right before the parade on the street so nobody could get in front of them

Me too. Only not when my son was in a ladder. Those throws can come fast and protection from facial injuries was paramount. I agree that adults on ladders is very lame.

Endymion has always been bad for the adult ladder crowd. We had a bunch of Kennabrah "ladies" by us yesterday that were on ladders and kept almost falling on the group next to them because they would reach out too far to try and catch shite. The classiest of them decided to try to wrestle a stuffed animal away from a little girl but her dad wasn't having any of that shite.
