Seen that scenario more than once. Pretty scary.

In a couple of those scenarios that I am personally aware of, the cartoon ends with the guy hanging unfortunately. Bad choices can have really bad consequences.

My marriage is good.

Not the best but good.

We definitely have to work at it, though. A lot of my friends with failed marriages happened because one or both were too lazy to work out problems until one day one or both said screw it and split.

Yep. I remember seeing one where the woman was like, "don't message if you don't own a home." Trouble was she was 23. Lol.

Pretty good.

seems like a lot of oversimplifying and refusing to take responsibility as a man

It seems as if there is no middle ground. In years past, woman where forced to stay in marriages because they had little other alternatives because of lack of education, no marketable skills, culture, etc.
Now with the modern woman, job opourtunjties, social media, etc. the first time she doesn't feel like she's getting what others say she deserves, she wants out.
I suppose that genie isn't going back in the bottle so I'd just use caution in finding the right mate.

If TETOWAKI happens, it most definitely goes back in the bottle.

These current luxuries women enjoy are only sustainable by the tyranny of the state. By the usurpation of the father as head of household by the government.

In the natural order of the world, there is no government tit. Parents provide for their offspring, and without that protection and sustenance they perish. Therefore the father has his natural position and value.

Everyone has their own natural value, and those without inherent value must devise some other way to survive.

The problem is that providing for the multitudes and subsidizing their prolific breeding without demanding anything other than a vote has made generation after swollen generation of people who, when the camel's back breaks and TETOWAKI is unleashed, will perish under fire and sword and gun.
Will starve in the streets, darwin's terrible grip will throttle the land, and the natural order will return.

None of married friends seem happy but I don't think they have ever been cheated on. They all married pretty great, educated girls too and despite that, their lives just are so depressing. It's always interesting to me to hear all these guys on the ot say how happy thier marriages are, when I've just never met any men who feel that way irl.

I always see single people say this as if they know exactly how someone's marriage is behind the scenes or that they can read body language exactly. In most cases it's pure projection. You don't see yourself being happy in a marriage, ergo you think everyone in a marriage is unhappy.

So there are no women who can provide financially for their families as well as a father without Governent help?

The insecurity of men and their mistakes of marrying before the age of 30 come out in these BS threads. Don't rush into having kids either. Take the first two years of marriage and travel and enjoy them. You've got plenty of time to have kids.

Additionally, if you get married and then become a fatass sloth who eats 5000 calories a day and then drinks every night, don't expect your marriage to last any significant length of time or for your woman to remain faithful.

I see many men who just let themselves go in their 30s and then they wonder why everything fell apart. It's up to you, as the man, to lead the relationship. Women take cues from you, so if you're fricking your own life up then don't be surprise when she does the same.

My buddy got divorced about 2 years ago. Pretty sure he posts/lurks here but he knew she was fricking another guy and kept quiet for 6 months using GPS to track her. He also used that time to move things around. When he finally let cat of bag, his ducks were so in a row he controlled the entire divorce terms and is now with a newer, younger, hotter girl who kids love. But if he had not done the fieldwork, would have been screwed like the average guy.

Moral is you have many advantages as a male, divorce ain't one of them. But get ducks in a row and you can win.

Marry your best friend

Promote healthy activities, both mental and physical, in each other

Keep doing fun things, even when you may be "tired"

Be truthful and realistic about money

Remember that you are a team and that the kids are the enemy

It is pretty simple

lol, no man, im not projecting.

i think quotes such as:

"i cant wait until i can divorce her" (he cant because kids arent 18)
"if i could do it all over again, id never get married"
"i love my wife, but its not worth the headache each day"
etc

speak more volumes, then reading body language, wtf

im sure happy marriages exist, obviously, but not in my irl experiences
