Was she hanging out with the Atlanta Hawks 7 years ago... then a jockey a few years later?

Have you thought about going the international route? or are you deadset on an American child?

a friends mom has adopted 9 Chinese kids within the last 10 years

I have no idea how she does it

My parents adopted a kid after I left for school.

It's been hell on earth for them ever since. With abortion, nobody births and gives up for adoption "normal" kids anymore. They're all defective in some way, unfortunately.

Well that makes me feel a little better, for the other kids anyway. Keep your head up buddy.

Madison has a lot of upper middle class and upper class. Used to live there when I worked in Jackson. The partners in my old firm still live in Madison and they do very very well.

yep, it's a seedy process, prospective parents have to be on their best behavior to try and stay in favor of the little skank ho to get chosen, kind of like a college football recruiting process gets worse if you go through the Catholics, then you have to do the dance for a guy that's never been married, supposedly sworn to celibacy, to prove you are good enough, along with random unannounced inspections to your home to make sure you're on the up and up, and of course you have to pay through the nose for this privilege

As an adoptive mom, I would be severely unhappy if this was a pic of my kids in a thread that detailed their private birth history. If you plan to be an adoptive dad, you should start with considering how your child might someday feel if their pic were posted in a thread with "true trash" in the title and addressing his or her birth family.

We tried the adoption route once, it turned into an absolute shite show with a private adoption gone wrong. Luckily we found out pretty early of alot of deception. We called the supposed baby daddy, and with his honesty and a calender we figured out that no one knew the birth father.

Turned out on day of birth, a family showed up from Illinois to take the baby home. Momma had taken drug tests and was clean when we were dealing with her early on, turns out she went full bore crackhead months before the birth. Baby was born with issues, and Illinois family packed there stuff up and left sans baby. Baby was taken into state custody.

A terribly sad situation, but when you are dealing with a dirtbag you just cant fathom the lies they will tell.

I do know of alot of folks that have had wonderful and successful adoptions, I was just 0 for 1.

Having not read the whole thread, have you guys thought about or can you do in vitro? My daughter is having the process in a few weeks with donor eggs and it has about a 90% chance of success. It is expensive ($20,000) but well worth if it works. Just a thought. A good friend and his wife wanted to do that but she couldn't carry a child. Took them ten years and thousands of dollars to finally adopt a biracial child and it was dicey for the first six months after they got the child as the mother has the option to change her mind. Really a sad situation adoption can be at times.

In any case I hope God blesses you guys with a child.

What kind of frickery is this? I guess I'd expect someone like that to be so stupid to think that poorly of someone who has their shite together but happens to live in Mississippi.

Thank you.

Good luck moving forward in the adoption process. It's an emotional breakdown but is so worth it in the end.

Then you have news like this today.

LINK

We and a million other families would have taken both those kids off her hands if they were too difficult for her.

Just started the process as well anc.

Looks like it's gonna be a long road.

I just knew I couldn't do "OPEN Adoption" It looks more like human trafficking than adoption. Trying to give kids a good home is hard to do these days it seems.

Alabama DHR system is screwed up. I don't want to go through the public process since if you get one bad kid who lies about your care from a foster...you can get blacklisted. Happened to a co-worker.
