We and a million other families would have taken both those kids off her hands if they were too difficult for her.

The bodies of Gabriella Guerrero, 3, and Natalye Price, 1, were found in the Dogwood Villa Apartments in Quitman on July 24. The cause of death for both girls was listed as blunt force injuries, according to a preliminary autopsy.
Damn... just damn.

Just a piece of worthless advice from someone who's been there - stay away from those stories. You will go crazy trying to understand. Focus on what you can do to increase your odds of adopting. Tell everyone you know of your wish to adopt and ask them to let you know if they hear of a potential candidate. Tell your church members, your wife's OB, friends, relatives, etc. I know people who adopted bc an OB knew they were looking and arranged a private meeting with the family and a teenaged patient. Another couple adopted when a friend of friend, etc in another state knew someone who was considering adoption. Every person who knows is another possible connection. And then, try to let go and let God.

You really need to email me or post your email and I'll email you. There is an easier way that I was TOTALLY unaware of when I went through what you are going through right now.
Depends on Mississippi law but it's worth you taking the time to hear it... Might make your life easier.

You know you've screwed the pooch when you're wearing a bullet-proof vest for your mugshot.

Really? I am not sure that my wife would even consider this family as an adoption to pull from, sounds like a people mill...
You pretty much have to take what you can get from what I understand. I know a few couples who adopted and they all say it's expensive and very stressful because the mother can back out at anytime.

Have you considered www.embryo.net?
We tried the adoption process with the whole home evaluation process and all. Many of the young mothers have done drugs at least in their first trimester.
Seriously check out embryo.net. I have the cutest and healthiest angel! GL
Honest to God, I'm sitting in their office right now planning on our 2nd one.

I am with on this LSUgrrrl.
My daughter is 5 and she is adopted. we used an adotption Lawyer instead of an agency. Best advice i can give. It was 600.00 uo front and no commentment after that. Heard he 2 hour spill and it was our choice to proceed after that. Ours was very easy but very stressful because the mother can change her mind at anytime. I know it is costly but remember 13500.00 tax credit is allowed for adoption so it is as bad as one thinks it is. if you want me to answer questions just ask in here or i will give youj my email. Best thing me wife and i did. We are not expection out first bioligical child in feb. we found out on our 10 wedding anniv.

No - random man that got some mother/daughter action. He can't be found so terminating parental rights was going to be a legal hassle.
That's a frickED up part of welfare right there. Basically, the mom(s) can't get welfare for the baby unless they can prove who the daddy is so they can go chase him to pay for it.
Sounds fricked up b/c it is.

My sister adopted two Chinese baby girls. Both were adopted as infants. The oldest is 18, and the youngest 14. They are beautuful, smart, bright girls. In fact, one is in her freshman year at LSU.
Both times, my sister and BIL had to go to China to get the girls. It is a drawn out process that needs approvals from both the US and China governments to work,
The whole experience couldn't have been better for my sister and the girls.

Not sure what your situation is that makes you want to adopt rather than have one of your own but for a fee, I can have you a kid ready to go in about 9 months

We actually looked into surrogacy. Woman in Arkansas was willing to carry my child (artificially inseminated) for $25k. My wife was game. I wanted to try the adoption route first.
