Yes. I could always work a side job or a seasonal job. Plus, (assuming) my wife would keep her salary, it's certainly doable.

It depends. Do you dislike where you live? I value that over pay as long as it is a good job. Especially if you can move anywhere you'd like

I recently took almost a 40% paycut. I moved from Houston at about 90k to Bozeman, MT for just under 60k.
I couldn't be happier. Cost of living and quality of life can make-up for any pay decrease.
