Yes, it makes sense. I've considered doing the same. One downside is it's a little more involved to adjust your stock/bond ratio down the road, since you can't buy or sell one or the other within Wellington (or any balanced fund)....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

30-35% bond funds can be appropriate, depending on your risk tolerance, and to a lesser degree, age. And there aren't many balanced funds out there better than Wellington. Yeah, that sounds incredible. We've got to take down two other large sweet gums, so this wouldn't be the only one. Cost is only somewhat of a concern.
