re: Auburn to open against Oregon 2019 - Sigma
It will be the 11th contest in the AdvoCare Classic series and the first game Auburn has played in AT&T Stadium. Oregon took part in the series when it opened the 2011 season against another SEC West foe, LSU, and the Ducks returned to AT&T Stadium in January for the national championship gam...

We had two requirements for a name. 1) Cannot be shortened. 2) First name will be what they are called (not the middle) I suffer from both myself. Oh how I hate #2....

re: The Lonestar Tick and red meat allergy - Sigma
I eat so much red meat though. I will put this to the test tonight again.
Good luck. I suggest having Benadryl handy, and staying awake for a while after you eat. My hives start appearing about 4-6 hours later....

re: The Lonestar Tick and red meat allergy - Sigma
I could be off on the timing of the bite. Last night was the first time I'd had beef since the last incident. Normally I'm skeptical of such things, but three times is leaving coincidence and entering trend. Probably should get the test, but I'm pretty convinced. ...

re: The Lonestar Tick and red meat allergy - Sigma
It really sucks. I pulled one off my waist about a month ago. A couple days later I had two enormous burgers for dinner one night. Woke up and on the way to the bathroom noticed my arm itched a bit but since it was dark I didn't really pay attention. Turned the light on in the bathroom and I looked ...

The Lonestar Tick and red meat allergy - Sigma
Anybody else recently pick this up? Officially it's an alpha-galactose allergy transmitted through through the Lonestar tick, but it's triggered by beef and pork. Severe hives, just terrible, full body hives. Poultry and fish only for me now. ...

re: Thoughts on this Asset Allocation Strategy? - Sigma
I like the sentiment, and appreciate that some folks love a lot of slicing and dicing and keep everything balanced, tax-loss harvesting, etc. But I'm in Target Retirement and LifeStrategy funds that fit my age and risk tolerance. That's enough involvement for me. ...

It depends, but by paying the amt due each month, you will certainly have less equity after 7-8 yrs in a 30 yr vs 15. ...

re: Still on the Learning Curve - 30 year mortgage better than 15 year mortgage? - Sigma
Sure, but you can apply that reasoning to nearly every financial product. Used wisely, a 30 yr fixed can be very useful, and often a better choice than a 15 yr (which you would choose to avoid the scenario you laid out)....

re: Who do you bank with and why? - Sigma
Regions. I'm not crazy about them but I couldn't convince my wife to switch to our local credit union when we got married. We never borrow from them because their rates are just not competitive. I've gone with PenFed and our local CU for mortgage, auto loans, etc. (She doesn't care about these t...

re: Still on the Learning Curve - 30 year mortgage better than 15 year mortgage? - Sigma
This could be a long thread with many good answers on both sides. You need to know how/you feel about/prioritize: 1. Savings habits 2. Tax-advantaged savings available 3. How long you might live there 4. Level of risk in the investment of the extra funds Your final answer will depend on yo...

re: PenFed Mortgage - Sigma
I had a mortgage with them for about 2 years recently until paying it off. Closing and payoff were both very smooth. Never had a problem, would use them again. In fact, since I bank with Regions, I would prefer to use them. But I just can't get past the 0.875% difference either, which has been p...
