Who's going to go get the people who die trying to get the dead?

The mountain would end up with more dead fricks than the bedrooms of OT posters with a wife/gf/SO/blowup doll/ fleshlight/etc...

Persons in the most optimal shape a human can achieve died where they rest on Everest.

No vehicle that flies in the air or crosses ground can access where they rest.

It is morbid and fascinating. You die on Everest, you stay there.

Someone didn't read the topic apparently. A chopper landed on the peak of Everest almost a decade ago.

Oh, and sorry for the double post, but I just realized no one noticed this earlier. You guys really should read this, it's a theory about how Mallory could have been the first person up there. It's all speculation but it is very well thought out.

"Green Boots" has been up there for a while.

I'm not a mountaineer, but I understand it is very dangerous and energy intensive. An expedition to retrieve bodies would be risky. A bunch of the Sherpas have begun efforts to start taking the bodies off the mountain - which is sacred to them.

George Mallory was up there for 75 years - an expedition was mounted to find his body and they built a cairn of rocks around him. The cold wind and low temperatures mummify the bodies to a certain degree.

That doesn't mean a chopper can easily retrieve the bodies.

Some detail

This.

Why should anyone put their life at risk to go get a dead person that went into someplace for the fun of it and knowing they may die? Why bring them down? To put them in a box to rot?

that type of person would probably prefer to go out that way, and to be left there
