I thought the same. They've only got a gazillion all over the US.

Baton Rouge has a Bar Louie, we must be the second best city in America, period.

ETA: Is the Bar Louis still open here? I've never actually been.

heart of east nashville

'nouveau' east nashville

you're citing a couple of the hottest areas of the city. why not throw in 12 south while you're at it?

i'm saying you dont need to live in one of the 'it' neighborhoods to still have a GREAT house and an easy commute and lots of access to all nashville & surrounding areas has to offer.

Bar Louie picture is just a good picture. Probably should have chosen a diff place.

There are dozens of incredible, unique restaurants with more opening every week. Dozens of incredible bars all over the city. Unlimited things to do when you consider all of the music, night life, outdoor stuff, etc.

Its just a fantastic city to live in.

Nashville schools are awful. The housing market is so artificially inflated right now and when it burst again so many people will be under water.

Traffic for a metro area of just over 1 and 1/2 million people is also horrible. Public transit is abysmal and amongst the worst of any major city.

Nashville is decent, but not even a top 15 city in the US.

wtf

Its great!

I fly in and out of it all the time. Small, fast, clean, etc.

Even on the worst days I can get through security relatively quickly.

I agree with this. Trying to buy a home right now and might have to put it off becaues of this.

I'll agree, but traffic is worse in other major cities.

Lived there for 3 years right after college and loved it. Would consider moving back. No state income tax really helped me out a lot financially... and yeah, the women there were great.

I'll also add that it's a great place to be an SEC fan. Lots of fans from every school there make the bars a really fun place to watch football on Saturdays. Also, Predators & Titans games are a ton of fun.

AUSTIN wins over Nashville. Travis county and surrounding school districts are better than Tennessee's.

Lol I've never heard of anyone going to Nashville for a bachelor/bachelorette party. You have a link to this that's not named visitnashville.com

I would imagine destinations for these are vegas, miami, nyc, nola, or somewhere with a beach that's a little cheaper than miami.

Yep. Our friend group of 27-30 year olds is probably 40 deep of people and from 10 different Southern colleges, mainly SEC.

UGA
Ole Miss
LSU
Alabama
Tennessee
Vandy
South Carolina
Clemson
TCU

UGA having the biggest presence.

All represented in our group of friends, most of whom met in Nashville and have stuck together since.

Nashville is an extremely expensive place to own. A friend of mine got in early at Icon for the low price of $160,000 for a studio. No thanks.
I loved living there, but to expensive. The corner house across the street from my in Sylvan Park went for $500,000 just to be torn down and have a new one built.

then dont be a tool and buy a hipster 1200sf house in east nashville for $500k. plenty of great areas to buy houses in for well under $300k

sorry you live in antioch. traffic is NOTHING like BR, ATL or anything else. where the frick are you driving in from?

You haven't gone out in Nashville then.

Most people don't have money for those other cities. FWIW, I saw it on a billboard in Atlanta so it probably was Nashville paid for. I'll look for links, but its crazy how many there are.

Downtown is just absolutely filled with them. Its normal to be at a one bar with 3-4 bachelorette parties there on a Friday night.

I've never been to downtown Nashville without seeing a Bachelorette party, doesn't matter what time of the year it is, it's kind of strange.
