I told her, "I ain't so sure about this place.
It's hard to play a gig in this town and keep a straight face.
And it seems like everybody's got a plan.
It's kinda like Nashville with a tan."

Buddy just bought a place right off 65. Maybe the Old Hickory exit? Can't remember the exit. He lives off Culpepper Ct in Brentwood. One of the first brentwood exits headed on 65 S if you're coming from the city.

65/old hickory to downtown most mornings is like 10-15 minutes.

eta and nashville traffic is NOTHING....NOTHING like the BR nightmare.

I think there is city ordinance that you are not allowed to jog in any of these areas unless you are an OT 7+

While I live in a residential part of Buckhead, it isn't even one of the best things happening in the city right now. The east side is a little too hipster for my tastes, but the west side is blowing up.

No city is for everyone, so I take no issue with people who just don't like it. But it has to be near the top of any close-to-objective lists of best places in the Southeast.

without traffic for sure

I went over there the other day right after work around 5:30 and waze told me 25 minutes. But on the way home that night I checked it, just to see, and it was 15. It's not that bad. Just congested off the exits.

I live in Brentwood and the traffic there from 4:45-6:30 is pretty heavy. I love living there though

I have a friend who just bought a condo, I think, on the west side of town. I need to go check it out.

Nashville is a solid place.

Whoever the fool is who argued Nashville is better than London made me chuckle, though. Some people are dipshits, so I guess it's to be expected.

:fistbump:

waze is the first thing i consult prior to leaving downtown. i always refresh 'routes' 2 or 3 times before committing to a direction just to make sure alls clear still.

It's an awesome sports city too. We have the Preds, Titans, Vandy baseball is top in the nation, Belmont basketball is always a great mid major, Sounds games in the new ballpark

Titans are my AFC team, for sure. If the Saints aren't winning a SB, I'd root for the Titans next. I think it'd be great for the city.

And definitely go Preds. Tough loss the other day. Get beat 4-0 even though we had almost double the shots.

Sounds games are still cheap too. Germantown is blowing up. It's beautiful over there.

I'm actually getting married at the Schemerhorn Symphony Center and the reception will be at Aerial (above Big Bang/Paradise Park on Broadway). My Louisiana family are all really excited. It's a vacation for them.

It has a little bit of a rust belt meets the South feel to it. Still a great city. I'm considering a move up there next year.
