I like the Ms. Kitty pizza at Two Boots. They have Hattie B's Hot chicken on it. It is pretty awesome.

It's September 24th of next year so I'm praying it doesn't rain. Please. Don't rain.

you better start practicing your tunnelvision. i'm guessing the bride will NOT appreciate wandering LSU eyes during the reception.

Versus

Its a little rusty with a lot of that graveled-concrete construction.

It just kind of peaked in the cheap part of the century.

I know that's a completely shallow statement, but it is merely intended as a comment on the aesthetics of the city and its buildings.

It is a little rusty.

There's some charm in dated construction but I don't think Nashville benefits from that. It's not like its a red brick city. It's a little dingier than that.

i'm saying you dont need to live in one of the 'it' neighborhoods to still have a GREAT house and an easy commute and lots of access to all nashville & surrounding areas has to offer.

We just moved to the back side of the zoo. We love it over here. In the grand scheme of things it was relatively inexpensive compared to other places. Well built older house with almost an acre of land. I grew up on the back side of Ellington, so I'm loving being back in the 'hood. Nolensville Rd has literally any type of food I want. Or I'm a hop, skip and a jump away from whiter areas if I feel like getting fancy.

Nashville definitely has a "rust belt" feel to it with the older buildings. However, they really have been pushing the envelope with the architectural designs of the newer buildings. From the Batman building, Pinnacle, Music City Center, to Bridgestone Arena...they really are creating some interesting looking architecture.

This is a shot from my office window. You can see some of the older buildings down below and the newer Fifth Third Bank. You can also see a little touch of Bridgestone Arena. However, the more important thing to notice is the red cranes. No matter where you go, in any part of town, you'll notice these cranes. It'll be interesting to see what the city looks like 10 years from now.

yep, lots of red brick 'historical' buildings along the river as well.

but it is changing dramatically. check the new music city center pic below (titan stadium across the river for size comparison) which basically removed about 40% of downtown's blight for the construction. that structure is fricking huge and now all the streets, etc surrounding it have just about been bought out and all new shiny gleaming hotels & restaurants are going up.
