To be fair, how many good linebackers have the Saints actually had under him? Lofton may be the best.

I have little doubt that if Ryan is fired, Dennis Allen will return as the DC. I'm very worried about Payton not being able to mesh with his coordinators. He might be going on a power trip. As HC, he has to admit that a lot of the mistakes are on him. He's not only in charge of the offensive players and coaches.

Yeah, Payton definitely has issues, with his offensive playcalling this year and with his defensive coordinators. Him owning up to the mistakes in the offseason is a must.

this. 4 coordinators in 9 years is a problem. This organization can't evaluate defensive talent or defensive coaches. What's going to give?

Do you honestly think any of them were wrongly let go?

Im not sure it's a meshing problem. It's poor drafting and inconsistent results on the field(main problem)

Not surprised at this at all. I saw this as a possibility for several weeks now. And no, Muschamp is not an option. There are much better candidates within the league.

Who are the better options?

Dennis Allen?
Who else?

ETA:Guess if Harbaugh goes then maybe he couldn't cock block us from getting one of his defensive assistants this time.

, but if you're Sean Payton you have to take a long look in the mirror at your own playcalling on offense.

Idiotic if true. You can't just look past all of the injuries he's had to deal with and the FA losses. The cupboard is bare.

Seems like a lot of speculation. Hope it's not true, I like Rob.

Ryan has ended up sucking everywhere he's gone. Why'd we think he'd be different here?

It really was a puzzling hire at the time. But there weren't alot of good candidates. I think we wanted to hire a 49ers assistant and Rob was the backup plan.

We might be able to get plan A this time.

Defense was just as bad before the injuries. whats the excuse for the defensive line? Kenny Vaccarro? I don't know if it's Ryan's fault but i find it hard to believe all those guys just took a step back. very bafflng.
