Would elicit the same response from this board.

Who do you suggest we draft at the end of the third round that will have more upside than MC?

Specific name...

Why would we TRADE for a player who hasn't been able to produce and is in the 3rd year of his favorable contract when we can get a player for much cheaper who will probably out play him (can't really play any worse)?

There are plenty of project type players from small schools available in the later rounds that will be better than what Mo has shown

Well you're either a bandwagon type of fan or you lack strength as a person. I find 90 percent of the fans idiotic too but they're not the ones on the field. I cheer for the players

Boom! Some people around here seem to avoid LSU players so they don't appear to be bias

However...

Big Mo is a great deal for us

What is this deal you speak of? How can one of the worse graded CB in the NFL be a great deal to us? Are the Saints getting him for a seventh rounder? Free Agent?

Well he did fairly well his rookie year in Ryan's system. Played the whole season with an injury. His one year in the Tampa 2 doesn't mean shite. He's a press cover corner. Always has been. Kiffen is a dinosaur and so is his coaching style.

Ryan was the one who pushed for Claiborne to be drafted, because he fit his system the best.

Did I get it all correct? NOW can we stop all these stupid threads?

You left out the Tulane QB, heir apparent to Drew.

Do you know of any reasonable ways for us to acquire him this offseason? No? Then you're right it would rightfully elicit the same response because there is no feasible way for the Saints to acquire him right now.

What is good for one team is bad for another and vice versa.

Morris Claiborne would fit in well with this defense. He is a hard working big back that likes to take risks but has the speed to make up for it. With our solid Safety core, he would not start but could work his way into the lineup. He is better than Corey White is my point

He wasn't suggesting it was possible to get Peterson.
He was saying that a lot of people on this board would bitch, moan, and act like they didn't want Peterson because he played at LSU.

And the point was that there is this negative reaction to LSU players because they get suggested as acquisitions for the Saints regardless of how feasible or reasonable it is to get them simply because they played for LSU.

Example: Mo Claiborne. It makes no sense to try to trade for him. There are many better options at this point. The main reason he was suggested is because he played for LSU.

Not really. What I was saying is at what cost? You say Mo is a great deal for us.....how? If it is for a second round pick, no way it is a good deal. If the Saints were to get him for a third that is still a stretch

He was far worse his rookie season actually. 70% passes completed his way with a 104 rating

Thanks for providing that stat. By any chance, do you know what the average was that year for CBs in the NFL? Just curious how that stacks up to this stat.

I can check it when I get home from work. I know PFF had him ranked 90th last season
